I had various experiences at various parts of my buying experience. I don't buy cars the usual way, and I'm kind of a jerk, so take that into consideration while reading this review. Ross - 12/13/20 I f experience. I don't buy cars the usual way, and I'm kind of a jerk, so take that into consideration while reading this review. Ross - 12/13/20 I figured out exactly what I wanted and I contacted the nearest 47 dealerships to my house interested in purchasing a factory build of a 2021 Dodge Challenger GT AWD. In my email I said I was looking for an exact match to the information I provided. I received a wide array of responses. I'll include the dealership in each section that gave me the most hassle, so you know who to avoid. Most dealership's were resistant to give a quote or to discuss the pricing in person, instead requesting that I drive over 2 hours one way to get a quote from them, as it was impossible to get a quote for a custom build online (Monroeville Dodge). Some dealership's (Elm) tried to play dirty tricks by sending the quote for a vehicle that was similar, but was missing options that I stated were mandatory, or had lesser options. Some dealership's kept sending me copy and paste messages without considering a word I had told them (C Harper). One dealership (South Hills) had "an exact match to the Durango I wanted in stock and ready to go", when I was asking for a quote for a challenger. One dealership (Jim Shorky) tried convincing me that it was impossible to sell the vehicle at invoice or below, that the best deal I would get was going to be a little under MSRP. after I convinced him I knew that was BS, then I magically got a quote. Ross at Tristar gave me the least hassle out of everybody I spoke to. He gave me absolutely zero hassle. He was the only one who included the price in the initial email back to me. I didn't have to mess around answering garbage questions like "will you be trading something in?" "How much are you looking to spend a month?" "What kind of vehicle are you looking for?" "when can you stop down to get a quote in person" I asked for a price, I got a price. I respected that. I took the lowest price I received and went down to Tristar in person to have them beat the price. I went to Tristar because Ross didn't try to feed me any garbage. Right now we're at 5 star's Scott/Isaac - 12/14/20 I arrive at Tristar, told them why I was here. We went back and forth about the price a couple times. I would not tell them my price, I just told them that they had to beat my other offers or I was walking. They beat it. Order was placed, now the wait began. Still at 5 star's International Chip shortage, Production delayed across multiple brand's. Contact is minimal while I waited. Information and updates were not forthcoming. I received them in a professional and courteous manner any time I asked, after a little prodding sometimes, but I never received an update that I did not explicitly ask for. I feel like this could have been better. Still at 5 star's though. 03/05/21 - Vehicle is built and set to ship soon. I inform Isaac that I do not want the front bumper drilled, No dealer badging installed, all the stickers to be left on, and for it to not be washed. This is agreeable. Still at 5 star's 03/16/21 - Ross messages me to inform me that my vehicle has arrived. I ask him to make sure that no one Drills the front bumper, remove any wrapping, wash it. I request that it be left exactly as it came off the truck. I was told Scott is taking care of that. Still at 5 star's. 03/16/21 - I ask about financing option's and am sent a link to the dealership website to provide my information so they can start getting quotes. The terms to this is that "all information is sharable with other parties, for any purposes (marketing) that Tristar see's fit, and I can not limit the sharing" 4 star's. What's my information worth to sell? Like $2? C'mon guy's 03/17/21 - I haven't heard back from them so I start shopping financing options myself. I come upon a great rate and ask if they can beat it. They can not. I question what the rates they could get were several times over the coming day's and am never told. I just know that the rate I got was unbeatable. Still at 4 star's 03/18/21 - I move to finalize the financing. I still have not received a bill of sale, but my financier has. I notice a discrepancy in the prices between what I was quoted 12/14/21 and what they were trying to finance. $505. I call and rip Scott's head off (sorry Scott!) $500 is accounted for, there is a discrepancy in what I was expecting the down payment to be, and what had been calculated, the remaining $5 was a mystery though. Turn's out it was an update to the pricing of Doc fee's that I was not informed of. I am **finally** sent the Bill of sale to review. Financing is sorted I schedule a pickup date for 03/20/21 3/19/21 - I go down there in the late evening to inspect the vehicle, spent about 20 minutes combing over the paint, and it is absolutely flawless, it has to be due to the work I am getting done immediately. I want to avoid paint correction. The car is unwashed (good) The front bumper has not been drilled (good) The stickers are still on the vehicle (good) I did not notice any dealer badging (good). The stand in Nissan dealership guy who was there was knowledgeable and friendly. Still at 4 star's 03/20/21 - I arrive a little after 9, and begin closing on the deal with Scott. He is knowledgeable and friendly. We go over paperwork. They really really push hard on the car phone app. It's got decent functionality so it's not a big deal, but man did they want me to install it sooo bad. Some dude walk's in and goes over payment with me. He is friendly and knowledgeable, informs me that my down-payment would be $55.07 less than I has been expecting. I was quoted an incorrect price for Titling in December that I did not catch. Next time. Either way, Pleasant surprise. Deal is finished, paperwork is fine and I receive copy's of all documents. Still at 4 star's 03/20/21 +20 minutes - I leave the dealership, go to Sheetz and find out that they had snuck a dealer badge onto my Vehicle in a hard to spot area after I specifically requested that they not do that, multiple times, to multiple people. It was on there, driving around, for maybe 20 minutes. I had to remove it myself, It did not help drive their sales up, it only served the purpose to royally P me off. I was going to drive back up there and yell at them, but I already yelled at Scott a couple days ago. If I would have written this review yesterday, it would have been a 1 star review. I'm still angrier at that than anything else in my entire car buying experience, 2 star's is a little harsh, but I think 3 star's is appropriate. Consider my experience a 3.99. but it can't be a 4. Not allowing me to limit the sale of my information to 3rd parties is easily worth a full star in itself, and not respecting my wishes on a $42,000 purchase is definitely worth another full star. Those 2 thing's are huge no-no's, and something that the rating needs to hold accountable. There was a lot of good I experienced, everybody was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a very low hassle, low bs buying experience and I respect that. If I had to buy another vehicle today. I would go back to Tristar, even if I am a little grumpy at them. More

Purchased a Hyundai Satan Fe vehicle two years ago with extended warranty. Last week the engine blew at 77,000 miles. The warranty company made my mechanic tear appart the engine at a cost of $500 labor then to tell me that they wouldn't cover the cost of the engine replacement! The said it was a "pre existing condition" I told them that's the point of the warranty, because I didn't know what care the previous owners put into the vehicle. They just hung up on me. So I got scammed into a $2000 extended warranty that doesn't cover anything. And I'm stuck with $5000 for an engine replacement with $500 that I could have saved if they just said no in the first place! And I still got three years of payments left! Also, in two years I had to replace all four tires, shocks, struts, ball joints, breaks. I'm sure they will say it's my driving habits. Just about all the speakers have blow out, and I'm not listening to loud music. Tri Star sold me a lemon and I will do my best to make sure no one gets ripped off like I did. Terrible dealership! DO NOT GET SCAMMED INTO THE WARRANTY! They will push it on you!! More
Truck buying Tri-star more like 5 star! From the time I walked through the door to when I drove off of the lot I was satisfied every second. Not only with the way Tri-star more like 5 star! From the time I walked through the door to when I drove off of the lot I was satisfied every second. Not only with the way how professionally the sales representatives and managers are but I'm also satisfied with my new truck I was in and out in 30 minutes they worked with me as best as they could. No dealership on earth can beat Tri-star motors. I highly recommend them. My representative was Sam thank you very much. More

The car was sol the salesman was pleasant enough but kept my son's driver's license and did not return until a whole week later by overnight delivery. The car was sold to my son while another entity still had the title. It was apparently a lease for which paperwork was not complete. Nobody at dealership wants to take responsibility for the debacle. He was promised a full tank of gas to drive home since he lives an hour away from dealership. They did not provide gas. Temporary tags run out in 8 days, still no title or tax check for transfer to his state of residence. WE THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GREAT DEAL, BUT NOW WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY FROM TRISTAR More
