This review is for Transitowne in Amherst. I went into the dealership towards the end of the day over a weekend and said that I was interested in a SUV and found one that I liked. The picked this SUV because it was low price and my payments would be dirt cheap so I left a deposit on it. Come Monday they call me and said it was approved and to come in to pick up the truck. I said that the following day would be best for me and they said there would be no problem. So the next day (Tuesday) I call the dealer to confirm that we are still set for a delivery in the evening and the salesperson said that we are indeed all set and that there was no problem with my load. So now we come to picking up the used SUV and I see the SUV I picked up with a sold sign on it and all cleaned up. I sign over the documents for my current car and the salesperson said he will be right back. I was left waiting for 10-15 minutes and the salesperson said he had something to show me outside. I walk out with the salesperson and now he drops the bomb on me. He informs me that they couldn’t get me approved for the SUV (even after the dealership told me 3 times over the phone I was) but they were able to get approval on a much newer car. I wasn’t against a car, I just wanted an older car/SUV for cheap payments. So I take the car for a test drive and the salesperson didn’t even know much about the car. I ask if the radio had Bluetooth and he said it did and when I asked him to show me, he couldn’t because it didn’t have it. So I asked if the radio had XM and he said yes and that the last owner had XM on at trade in… I called to verify that the head unit had XM and it was confirmed by both XM and Chevy that the head unit doesn’t support XM radio. I wanted to see how much my insurance would go up so my insurance company spoke to the sales person but he couldn’t answer their safety feature questions. The car comes standard with remote door locks and this dealership wouldn’t even provide a remote ($72.00 + $50 labor from Chevy for a new remote) I feel this place done a bait and switch with the SUV. I live close so I watched the SUV that I put a down payment on and the dealership delivered it to someone else so I feel they double sold it (so much for a down payment). I have friends looking for cars and this place will give me a referral bonus but I couldn’t screw my own friends by telling them to go here. BBW!!!! More

The worst expirence ever. they ruined buying a new car. Took it back there after waiting 20 min they said they cant do it, i would have to take it to the nissian dealer and they would pay for two new keys. took it to nissian and they said that transitonwe would only pay for one. next three weeks ;later i get a letter saying that they have my new registration , which i transfared the plates, and i owe them another 60 dolars. please dont buy a car from them unless u want a headache More
