Tried selling tires when not required I've been going to the dealership for almost 2 years for basic maintenance (oil change; filter; tire rotation). Every time I go there is some recomme I've been going to the dealership for almost 2 years for basic maintenance (oil change; filter; tire rotation). Every time I go there is some recommendation for extra repair which I evaluate and occasionally agree to. The last time I went I mentioned the low tire pressure light was on. The service center said I have a nail in the middle of my one of rear tires tread; they said the they tired the plug but it would not work so my only option was to replace the tire (note all my 4 tires are less than 12 months old). The kicker was since they did not have my type of tire in stock, they suggested replacing both of my rear tires so they match (cost $400). Thankfully, I got my car out with a donut tire and was able to take my car to Town Fair tires where for $8.50, they put a patch on my damaged tire and the job was done. The Stamford Toyota dealership lost credibility with me. Giving 3 stars since they I did business with them for 2 years and they gave me rides back and forth to the dealership. More
