I had bought a new car from another dealer and was not happy with it. David worked with us to finalize a deal so that I could trade in the new car and get a car that did not cause me back pain. I apprec happy with it. David worked with us to finalize a deal so that I could trade in the new car and get a car that did not cause me back pain. I appreciated his willingness to work out a deal even though it was a very busy day and there were complicated financial issues involved. I ended up with the car I wanted which made me very happy and totally relieved my stress of having an uncomfortable vehicle. More
Dave was very helpful explaining the different cars that we were interested in. Not pushy like some sales people. His demeanor made the experience less stressful and off-putting. We negotiated a sweet deal and drove home the vehicle that we wanted at a very reasonable price. Dave and the staff were most kind and the sale process was a snap. Thanks Dave. We'll be back to purchase our next vehicle. More

Thankfully my wife was okay, but the car was a total loss. I wanted to get her in a reliable car in for me was relatively short time. I have a history of taking months to buy a car and I never let myself get pressured. In fact, my reactions to the hard sell it to get up and walk. The “we can’t guarantee it tomorrow” approach gets the “then you won’t be selling me a car” response. In short order, I narrowed my list down to four cars in my desired price range. The Toyota Camry or Prius were two cars on my list. I met Jason Moritz on my first visit to Toyota of Southern Maryland where I wanted just to do a fit check in Prius. At 6’5” I don’t fit comfortably in all cars. Jason was very pleasant and showed me a Prius and did not push a driving test when I said I was not interested. I took that as a good sign. He was very knowledgeable on the Prius mechanics and options. I walked away impressed. Over the next two days I looked at other cars on my list and did some additional consumer report type research making sure I was only looking at cars with high reliability ratings. Two additional cars I wanted to look were the Toyota Camry and the Hyundai Sonata both of which were sold at dealership Hyundai / Toyota of Southern Maryland. Jason was able to show my wife and I both cars. Prior to showing up I had buyer service quotes from dealerships associated with my Credit Union. After a late Saturday afternoon test drive in both vehicles, we settled on a Toyota Camry. Again there was no hard sell or pressure as we considered models. Jason provided very objective knowledgeable information throughtout the process. In the end, we settled on a Camry LE and when it came time to negotiate price, I countered first offer with price in line with quotes I already had. Final price was satisfactory without any real hard sell or “low ball” type approach. Jason was a true professional throughout sales process and I would highly recommend him to any friends who enter the market. More

It was a long day. However, I'm still confident I got a good deal. This dealership offered a military discount, which isn't always offered. I would have liked to see where the discount was implemented more good deal. This dealership offered a military discount, which isn't always offered. I would have liked to see where the discount was implemented more clearly, but I am taking the financial guy's word. I did receive a follow up phone call recently and that was appreciated. More
My husband and I just bought our second Prius from Wayne Cook. The first was in the summer of 2008, when gasoline prices were skyrocketing. (That seems like a carnival ride compared with what's happening now!) In 2008 we did our research online and then went to talk at Toyota of Southern Maryland. It was Wayne who helped us then. We were very flexible in what we wanted, any of several models and any of several colors. We expected a six-month wait. Ten days after our first visit Wayne called to say that our car had arrived! And it was the beautiful Barcelona Red--Wow! We liked the car and definitely appreciated its ingenious engineering and design. In December 2011 my daughter and her husband needed a new car so (long story short) we "sold" them our 2008 Prius--gave them a super-good deal--and they LOVE the car. Martin's and my agreement was that he would drive his Explorer until he decided it was time for a change. A week ago he made that decision, we talked it over, did a little research online, and Martin went to visit Wayne the next day. Martin selected the Prius that he thought would suit us both. This past Tuesday when we went to purchase the car, which had been driven down from NJ, I wanted to look at a different model. Wayne never missed a beat. He showed us the two cars and pointed out the differences between the two. He really knows his stuff! We wound up buying the 2012 (red!) Prius Four and not the 2011 Prius 3 Martin had selected. Wayne had the 2012 Prius prepped for us while he and we did the paperwork. There was no haggling over the price, which is exactly what we expected. Wayne was courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, professional, in good humor--all in all, a pleasure to deal with. We got the car we (or I) wanted, and the experience with Wayne was really enjoyable. We also chatted with several other employees at Toyota of SoMD and all were pleasant and professional. Wayne is exactly the kind of person Martin and I like to do business with: we feel we can trust him, he is always professional but also quite personable. I didn't have time when we purchased the car to get Wayne's instruction on the new features of the car so I went back the next day. We had some difficulty linking my phone with the car and Entune. Wayne followed up by calling folks in CA, calling me to let me know, and having a man in CA call me. I have to say I'd much rather deal with Wayne than the guy in CA who took up lots of my time, kept repeating himself, and didn't really help all that much. Wayne rocks! More
