I had a great and positive experience purchasing a brand new Corolla Cross Hybrid with Toyota of Poway. From the start Alex was very attentive on the negotiation, after a lot of research I found out that on new Corolla Cross Hybrid with Toyota of Poway. From the start Alex was very attentive on the negotiation, after a lot of research I found out that only Toyota of Poway and another Toyota dealer in San Diego area are fair and honest with the price of the vehicle, they actually sell it for the advertised price (window sticker) without adding thousands of dollars on ad ons and junk fees that most dealers do illegally, not mentioning that I never felt any type of sales pressure whatsoever. The General Manager Michael was very kind and took the time to make sure my experience was going well. Toby Zachry the finance manager made the final steps of the process seamless and smooth and got me on my way in no time. He also was able to give me a great deal on an extended warranty package and alarm system. I highly recommend buying a car from this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used car. I am so glad I went to them. Thank You to the whole team at Toyota of Poway! You guys rock! More

I want to thank Fernando Rivera and Toby Zachary for the purchase of my new Blizzard White 2021 Toyota Corolla SE car today. Fernando was a very friendly Salesman who explained everything in detail about my purchase of my new Blizzard White 2021 Toyota Corolla SE car today. Fernando was a very friendly Salesman who explained everything in detail about my car and helped me with the base price. He was very kind and considerate and cared about giving me the best offer he could do for me. He even set up a Toyota app and synced my phone to my car as well. You couldn’t ask for a better salesman than him. I want to also thank Toby for all of his help on the warranty, alarm, and other information helpful for me. He was a very nice person as well, like a good friend. He did his best to insure that I got the best deal he could give to me in purchasing my new car today. He was also a wonderful person to be with. Thank you two so much. Now I can rest assured that my car is totally paid for with a great warranty and the confidence that my new car will last me a long time. Thanks once again you two. You’ve made my day a happy one! Sincerely, Tommy Pitcher More
Very unprofessional sales manager and sales team. Felt rushed and the manager would send out other people to talk to us instead of him doing it himself. rushed and the manager would send out other people to talk to us instead of him doing it himself. More
They don't know their own product, nor are they competitive They don't care. You sell Toyotas, you make money. If they were in a competitive market, they'd be out of business quick. When their "specialist" They don't care. You sell Toyotas, you make money. If they were in a competitive market, they'd be out of business quick. When their "specialist" and "senior" something or other is brought out to answer specific questions on a Toyota at a Toyota dealership, you'd think they would know the BASICS. The guy was using his smart phone. I had to dismiss him by saying I could do that. Frankly, I had an idea of the answer already and wanted to confirm it... The only thing they confirmed is that I know more than them! During the test drive the special salesman that was assigned to me didn't answer three questions until I asked them a second time. It got to the point that I would ask once, look at my companion and roll my eyes. So many unanswered questions during the test drive. On top of that, the sales rep didn't know the neighborhood, so finding a hill, a rough road and a long stretch of straightaway was impossible. A complete and total waste of valuable time. I think they're happy with themselves. They're in a rich community and don't have to work to make good money. Its not the first time I've gone there. the first time was decades ago and, guess what... Though that salesman knew where the hill was, he didn't know the car's functions and the car sounded like it was in the wrong gear half the time ("eco" buttons were new then...). I bought somewhere else; like I have done many times after giving them a chance to earn my business. What a failure. If I were the owner, I'd axe everyone for being incompetent and indifferent. At least know what's in the freaking brochure. How long does that take to learn??? Well, I played nice, kept the door open but snotty bs from the idiots (you know they have something like 10 "managers") - All bets are off. with 3 new car purchases coming in the next 18-24 months, I'll never buy from them. I'll tell my friends too. We talk about stuff like that. More
Worst Dealer I have ever dealt with, I have purchased over 120 vehicles for my personal and business and can tell you I have never experienced a more unethical and shady dealer. Always go to the alternat over 120 vehicles for my personal and business and can tell you I have never experienced a more unethical and shady dealer. Always go to the alternative dealer, pay more even, you will be rewarded later 10 times. With this dealer you pay it backward. WARNING stay away!! If you work there leave , your reputation should mean something. More
Low standards in service I found this dealership to have surprisingly low standards in automobile service. I recently sent a 2018 Highlander with 11K miles for a 15K servic I found this dealership to have surprisingly low standards in automobile service. I recently sent a 2018 Highlander with 11K miles for a 15K service along with a request to check and fix the following issues: 1) a leak from a brake line connector on the master cylinder 2) a wire connector near the engine is wet with oily stuff, some fluid leak above the wire connector is suspected 3) a rear light reflector is not seated properly The service advisor stated that the leak in the brake line is considered "sipping", not a "leak" because the brake fluid level in the reservoir is not low. The technician had wiped off the wet stuff and advised us to "observe" for further leaks. He didn't try to look for the sources of the leaks. The service advisor told me that the technician is Toyota certified and "followed the protocols". When I expressed my concerns, he said: "are you concerned that the car would blow off?" I said I was not concerned that the car would blow off but expected the dealer to identify and fix the leaks. For the rear reflector, the technician said it popped out but nothing was broken. Because nothing was broken, the dealership charged me $28 for re-installing the reflector. The service advisor further stated that the usual diagnostic fee is $140 which they had kindly waived. Surprised by what I heard, I called Toyota to confirm that the technician indeed "followed Toyota service protocols". The Toyota service rep told me that a dealer always charges a diagnostic fee but it should be billed to Toyota for cars under 3 year/36K bumper-to-bumper warranty. For the leaks and the charge on the rear reflector fix, he would ask the dealership to explain why they did so. Clearly, Toyota is not the party who imposed the low standards. More

At first, I had an excellent experience starting with the used car manager, Randy Sisson, and the salesman and the finance manager. They were very attentive and helped me get the vehicle quickly and with no hassle. However, after two weeks the used truck I bought began to have mechanical issues both, with the engine and the transmission. Two separate mechanics looked at it, and agreed that the truck was filled with additives to make a good first impression. I already had to replace the transmission, and I am now making plans to replace the oil pump. Not an easy or cheap task, to say the list. I spoke with Randy on the phone, and while he was very kind, he also said they were not responsible for selling me a junk vehicle that, in my opinion, should have been sold at auction and not retail. He said that his mechanics would not do something so shady, which leaves me with two thoughts: 1- Either, they took the truck in on trade, did not check for mechanical issues, and are willing to sell junk to their customers, or... 2- They purposelessly made the truck run fine for a few days just to sell it. Either way, it seems that they are willing to sell junk, and let their customers deal with the consequences. I wish that they would have been honest before selling me a financial burden that I have to fix. I think Toyota of Poway customers need to know that their kindness does not reflect honesty. And, to take the time to take their used inventory to an honest mechanic to look it over before making the same mistake I made when I trusted this company. I have to give them at least one star to leave a comment, which I think is unfortunate and unfair, since they deserve 0 stars... I feel robbed by the company, and I feel robbed that I have to give them one star... More
Be aware of shady business practices at Dealer Toyota Poway Be careful with shady business practices at the Toyota Dealer in Poway. I just found out that I have been a victim of one of the unethical used car Be careful with shady business practices at the Toyota Dealer in Poway. I just found out that I have been a victim of one of the unethical used car sales deals. The Poway Dealer's salesmen are deliberatly selling you an extended car warranty that applies for new vehicles at full price, even if you buy an older, used car. What they knowingly DON'T tell you, is the fact that you are paying for the past life time of the vehicle retro-active. In my case, I purchased a 2011 vehicle in 2014 and fell for the sale of an extended car warranty for 72 months or 125,000 miles for $2,200.00. Although overpiced, the salesman pointed out to me that I am covered for the 5 year period of financing my car. Now, in 2018, I needed the coverage for unexpected repairs on my car, and I found out that the contract had expired in 2017, only 3 years after the vehicle's purchase from the Toyota Dealer in Poway. Looking further into this bad contract, I realized that the Poway Dealer Sales made me believe that I purchased 72 months from the day of sale, but in reality I paid for the time since the car was manufactured, in my case, 3 years before I even purchased the car. Furthermore, I get a 12 month free warranty from every car dealer on a purchase of a pre-owned vehicle. So, I basically paid unknowingly $ 2,200.00 for only 2 years of car coverage, and had to pay my repairs out of pocket this year. I find it very unethical to mislead a customer so badly in the purchase of an extended warranty that in average should cost between $800 and $1200 for a 6-8 year warranty with actually getting the full amount of years (reference: Customer Reports Forum: Toyotanation.com -International Toyota Enthusiast Community). When I found out, I tried to talk to the Poway Dealer Poway Management, but after a full week of ingnoring me, they finally got back to me and had me talk to the same salesman that sold me the bad contract in 2014, only to hear more lies and talks about how great this bad deal was. $2,200.00 -disguised as a 72 months contract- for a coverage of only 2 years on a 4-5 year old car? Looking back, I find that pretty rediculous, but I did not realize the circumstances when I purchased the car in 2014, and it makes for a good commission for the salesman, therefore the pressure for urgency at purchase time. For a used car, I found out, any insurance sells you an extended warranty for much less money and you can purchase it any time. It does not have to be at the dealer or at the sales date. Sadly, if I would not have had a repair, I would have not noticed, and that's how the Poway Toyota Dealer gets away with it. I wonder how many used cars they have sold since 2014 with similarly bad warranties. According to the salesman, he said he sold thousands of them. It is time to point out how bad of a deal this is for the customer. I don't trust the Toyota Poway Dealer with anything anymore and I am out of $2,200.00 for a worthless, overpriced contract. My advice: Go buy your car at a different dealer. More

But recently when we go there and tried to use our oil service, they told us that the service is almost end. They also told me that my service has started when I purchase it which is totally different with what the customer service told me before. I called it a cheating. So I decide to get my money back to return their service I never used. Their manager was very rude and refuse to return my money back. So bad experience to get cheated like this. especially it happened in toyota dealer. Since the Donald Holimon even refuse to give the written letter to state that he refuse to return my money back. I have to video his talking at that time. More
