I feel so blessed to have had Sam and Brian help me whle I was in such a stressful situation. They worked with me and explained everything in such detail. Both were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I was in such a stressful situation. They worked with me and explained everything in such detail. Both were very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I had an issue with another dealer and they were not meeting any satisfaction. In fact, paying them to fix my daughter's car with the result of more problems agrivated me and added to my increasing stress level. However, when i came to Toyota of Olympia it was just the opposite. I am happy with these results and am glad to know there are others who can have the same experience if they see these two wonderful employees. I just wanted to pay them gratitude and thank whoever employed them. Thank you so much and keep up the substantial work! Sincerely, L. Smith and daughter More
Wow - Just had a great experience w/Toyota of Olympia Service Department! I took my car in for a repair - had something not go quite right, but not that bad - but they more than made up for it! Some thi Service Department! I took my car in for a repair - had something not go quite right, but not that bad - but they more than made up for it! Some things that really impressed me were that I was taken right to the manager w/out having to ask, he told me exactly what they could do for me w/out me having to even ask for it, he followed through on everything he said, and they were very accomodating in every way possible. I really don't think I have had this great of customer service ever! They went way above and beyond my expectations - I'm still pinching myself :) Great experience, friendly staff, and I will definately go back! More
For seven years I've taken my Prius to Toyota of Olympia for service, maintenance and repair. On my first visit Fred Chase was my service guy. I was so impressed with his work that I make it a point to get for service, maintenance and repair. On my first visit Fred Chase was my service guy. I was so impressed with his work that I make it a point to get him every visit. (No, I'm not his father, uncle or friend -- just a happy customer in all respects. An example: today I thought the Prius might be leaking fluids. I went right in and Fred put it up on rack right away. It wasn't a leak -- no charge -- I was on my way with peace of mind. More
We are so thankful to Noel Crowley for his work in getting us a quote on a Toyota Corolla, and then guaranteeing that would be the price after we drove an hour to get there. We are grateful, also, fo getting us a quote on a Toyota Corolla, and then guaranteeing that would be the price after we drove an hour to get there. We are grateful, also, for his patience with us. We arrived at a late hour on Saturday [April 30, 2011], and crowded into his 'weekend' time with his family. And, to think that he could still be gracious to us! Cal Geppert was hard working and polite. His job I don't envy, however. He was the priveleged soul who had to uncover and offer services with previously hidden costs to us, and that made me cry. I imagine that the majority of car dealerships adopt this practice of hitting folks with maintenance agreements, theft protection, and undercoating, paint & interior protection costs at the closure of their deal-making on new cars. I guess I must accept this practice as traditional, but it didn't set well with either my husband or me. It would have been far better for our psyches to know up-front what would be offered so that we could have considered it prior to the purchase of our new car. Our new Corolla will definitely be appreciated, but it will take time for this cloud to fade. More

I have had pleasure of dealing with Jeff Johnston, who handles Internet Deals. He follows the Golden Rule. Can't wrap my head around this dealership. Entering this establishment you are met by mostly sober faces and flat affect salesmen. I gave sales a 4 rating strictly on how I was treated by Jeffery Johnston w establishment you are met by mostly sober faces and flat affect salesmen. I gave sales a 4 rating strictly on how I was treated by Jeffery Johnston who was very friendly and low pressure. OK, I committed a no-no and went shopping with a trade in that still had a lien. The vehicle was 16 month's old and very low miles. Obviously I wanted to get out from under this car and they knew it. I was given a low ball value but managed to walk away with some equity and a good price for the vehicle I bought... end of story. As I'm waiting to go to finance I over hear a conversation between another salesman and a customer. Customer: "I think I would like to take the Yaris for a test drive." Salesman, after long pause: "Yah, I suppose we could do that." What... don't these guys work on commission? I would think the salesman would be doing back flips at the thought of a new sale! Now enter the finance department. No names here, to protect the innocent. As usual you enter this next battlefield with much higher pressure for extended warranties and Lo jack. Opted out of the extended warranty but bought the lo jack because I have it on all my vehicles. OK, everything's finished, papers are signed, I'm given the tour of the new vehicle functions. etc. Now I've got my new Tacoma and off I go happy as can be... Right? Two weeks go by.... I'm looking at my bank account and notice the bank is still taking out payments on the vehicle I traded in. Red flags go up along with my blood pressure, "have I just been scammed!?" Called Toyota of Olympia, "you guys haven't paid off my trade in"! Finance department: "Yes we sent the check 2 days after you were here. Must be the banks fault". I called the bank: "No, we have no record of the payment". Now I'm hot and call again and raise more xxxx. Long story short, I was told that they sent the check to the wrong bank. What, for gods sake this is the electronic age don't businesses do electronic transfers? Well, after the dust settled and they realized the mistake all payments were made and everyone's happy but only after a month of hand ringing on my part. Simple human error? It's surely possible but I would expect that after years of selling cars a dealership would be a well oiled machine (no pun intended) and have this procedure down. I don't know if I will take my vehicle back for service here. After I had the Lo jack installed and went to pick up the truck. The service department just handed me the paperwork and said "The truck's somewhere in the back, if you have any questions just give us a call". By contrast I recently purchased two vehicles from the Honda dealership next door where service is lavished on the customer. After having Lo jack installed there I sat down with the finance department again and everything was explained and no stone unturned. I usually have done much research and am prepared when I go to buy a car and know what to expect, what my trade in is worth and what I should pay for a new vehicle. But this financing snafu was surely a new experience. My fault, should have paid for the trade-in before I went shopping. Bottom line, I had a very good experience with Jeffery Johnston and make any recommendations based on his professionalism. This dealership will negotiate, don't be shy. More
I took my Tundra in to have the 4x4 checked out as it would not engage. I was charged $95 just to have them look at it. After waiting an hour, they informed me a switch needed to be replaced at a cost of would not engage. I was charged $95 just to have them look at it. After waiting an hour, they informed me a switch needed to be replaced at a cost of $90 for the part and $95/hr. for labor which would take another hour for the repair. I perodically peaked through the shop window to see if my truck was being worked on. After 10 minutes I noticed it was no longer in the shop and anticipated them letting me know my truck was ready. After waiting approx. 10 minutes and no one calling my name, I decided to take a walk outside to see if maybe they were testing it outside. I soon discovered my truck was parked in the back of the dealership. I went back inside and waited another 15 minutes and still no one notified me my truck was ready. I then went to the service desk to find out what was going on. After waiting another 10 minutes they let me know it was ready to go. Afer getting the bill, I noticed they charged me not only for the $95 inspection fee but an additional 1 hour of labor at $95/hr. for a repair that only took maybe 10 minutes at most. I disbuted the charge, but was told that this was the standard time to complete the repair. It is my belief they knowingly tried to make it appear the repair was taking an hour to complete by parking my truck behind the dealership for over 30 minutes after the repair was made. The sad thing is, this also happened to another person in the waiting area while I was there. She too waited an add'l 25 minutes after her car was repaired. I for one will never return to this dealership and I recommend you avoid them as well, unless you want to get ripped off. More
I decided to stop in at Scion of Olympia today to see if I could find some parts for my newly purchased 2006 xB. Was greeted at the door by a salesman who held the door open for me, but looked less than hap I could find some parts for my newly purchased 2006 xB. Was greeted at the door by a salesman who held the door open for me, but looked less than happy and didn't even try to make conversation. He showed me where the parts counter was and left. The rest of the sales people there were all standing around talking to each other, so I went to check out the flyers and no one even tried to talk to me. I was very surprised, as I stopped by this same dealership last year and had great service, but this time around it wasn't so great. Maybe it was because I already own a Scion, but it would have been nice if someone there had at least attempted to make conversation. How do they know I wasn't there to look at a new car? Most car dealerships are happy to see someone driving a car they sold, no matter how old the car is (in this case, only 4 years old). More
