Don’t waste your time with this dealership. Serious buyer; found a vehicle I wanted and tried to make a deal including trading my pristine condition, low mileage car. After more than three da Serious buyer; found a vehicle I wanted and tried to make a deal including trading my pristine condition, low mileage car. After more than three days of back and forth with optimistic comments that he’d do right by me they informed me that the price of the vehicle had gone up because “it was very desirable”, so nothing off on the sales price. They misrepresented the mileage by approximately 50% less than actual (claimed ~10k, but was close to 15k). They add a non-negotiable “premium protection package” on every vehicle for $1,979 that includes a flashing brake light module (can be bought for $25 and a 10 minute installation), an inspection, one oil change, and 2 tire rotations, the latter three only at a Hudson facility, of which there are none near me. They also include lifetime power train warranty (again, Hudson facility), but the vehicle had gold certification which provides 7 years/100,000 miles warranty already at any Toyota dealership. Note: the customer isn’t given a choice in this premium package; it’s forced upon you. To top that off they offered me far below trade value for my vehicle; a truly laughable price. I wasted way too many hours on this scammy dealership. 0 stars; do not recommend. More
Hands down, without a doubt, the WORST car buying experience our family has ever had. experience our family has ever had. More

I was extremely unhappy with my experience at Toyota of North Charlotte. I inquired about a Camry they had in stock online and was contacted by their internet sales staff. Sticker price on the Car was $4 North Charlotte. I inquired about a Camry they had in stock online and was contacted by their internet sales staff. Sticker price on the Car was $40,235, the unlocked price was $36,129, and the salesperson told me it was even less at$35,400. I specifically asked if the $1,000 Camry Loyalty Rebate was included and she told me know that all rebates would be applied after I came to the dealership if I qualified. Like a fool I took her at her word and drove 21/2 hours to the dealership. When I began speaking with the salesman I asked what the price of the car is and he kept saying he would let me know. After looking at my car, 2022 Camry XSE premium Plus Package, they made the insane offer of only $22,000. My car has never been in an accident, no dents or scratches, garage kept, and low mileage (27,600) so under 10,000 a year. KBB Auction price on my car for very good condition is $27,500, Excellent is $28,500. The manager said he could come to the $35,400 price including the $1,000 rebate but there was no movement on my trade at all. He stated his best offer was me financing $31,000 which in reality means they were really only offering about $19,000 for my car. I left the dealership feeling like they were trying the old bait and switch move on me. I am terribly disappointed with my experience at this dealership and would never recommend it to anyone. Dishonesty is not a way to sell cars. I have owned 6 different Camry's in the last 12 years and am a serious buyer planning to purchase a new one again in the future but not from there guys. If I could give them a 0 I would. More
I showed up on 8/25/24 looking to trade in my current car for a new Corolla hybrid. I found one that I liked and began the annoying back and forth with the salesman. Initially, he came out of the gate with a for a new Corolla hybrid. I found one that I liked and began the annoying back and forth with the salesman. Initially, he came out of the gate with an absolutely ridiculous total price and monthly payment and when I told him those numbers were absurd, and I was no longer interested, they came back a few minutes later with the price I wanted. I transferred tags, updated my insurance, and left that day with the new Corolla and the dealership took possession of the previous car. I assumed everything was fine up until a week later, when they reached out to me looking for pay stubs and other financial info. Obviously, I was surprised because I was told at the time of sale that I didn't need proof of income because my credit score was so high. So I reached out, since I'd signed a contract and they had my trade in, I thought it was a done deal and wanted clarification. I learned later that sometimes financing falls through, but I couldn't get anyone there to answer my phone calls or emails to let me know this. Another week passes, and I'm finally able to get in touch with someone. Of course, they're "low on the totem pole" and tell me that the sales manager, Nate, will call me back. That, of course, never happened, and I'm still not certain to this day whether Nate exists. We're now in the second week of September, and I'm still not receiving a response to any of my phone calls, though I can see through Credit Karma that 12 different banking institutions have made credit inquiries since I purchased the vehicle. Fast-forward another week and I finally received an email from my original sales person telling me that he'd been trying to reach me for quite some time and that he had wonderful news. This is obviously a lie as I called and emailed for more than a week with zero response. The salesman tells me that they've been working hard on my behalf, and they've managed to get my car payment EVEN LOWER. I just need to come in and sign the new paperwork(on a vehicle I've had for weeks at that point). The new terms were for 84 months (2 whole years longer than the original contract I signed) and an interest rate around 14% (more than double our original agreement). I ended up securing my own financing through a local credit union and finally thought that I had rid myself of the world's most incompetent dealer. I was wrong. At the beginning of October, I received a letter from the DMV letting me know that I was not in compliance as I had let my insurance lapse and would need to provide proof of insurance or my tag would be suspended. I knew this couldn't be possible as I had switched insurance from my trade in to the new vehicle while I was at the dealership. I had Geico send the DMV proof of insurance and requested the dealership send the required paperwork on their end. I received another letter from the DMV on 10/28 telling me that I was still not in compliance and that my license plate had been suspended. I called Geico and tried to figure out what they'd done wrong, but they assured me that they'd sent the required info and confirmed I'd never had a lapse. After another call with the DMV (which took a good chunk of my day), I discovered that the issue was not with Geico, but with Toyota of North Charlotte...again. As far as the DMV was concerned, I never took possession of the new vehicle because the dealership messed up the paperwork and the tag which I'd attempted to transfer from the trade in to the new car was never done. Once again, the dealership dropped the ball. After many phone calls and a trip to the DMV and tag office, I was finally able to get everything sorted as of yesterday 11/7/24. I purchased this car all the way back in August, and it took months of me putting out fires and jumping through hoops because Toyota of North Charlotte is inept and does not care. I've never encountered a car dealer that didn't seem to understand how to sell a car. I would avoid More

Salesperson did not recommend us getting the 0% APR deal (which we qualified for) & subtly asked us what neighborhood we lived in (as if we couldn’t afford said car?) We ended up going to Town & Country Toyota to purchase. In 2024, we shopped around for a new Tundra & consulted this dealership. We hoped to have a deal in writing before we went in person. This never happened - only given run-around & they wanted us to come in person. Instead, we purchased from Cloninger Toyota which was a much better, no-hassle experience. More
Wanted to buy an in-stock Sienna Limited and after multiple attempts, they would not give me an out-the-door price in a timely manner. When they finally did after saying I needed to know before travel multiple attempts, they would not give me an out-the-door price in a timely manner. When they finally did after saying I needed to know before traveling 4 hours, they added a $5000 mark up. No thanks. More

We were told by Angel that they had a blue Camry on the lot to look at. We told her we had about a 2 hour round trip ride with a baby and ask her to make sure. She scheduled an appointment with us to see i lot to look at. We told her we had about a 2 hour round trip ride with a baby and ask her to make sure. She scheduled an appointment with us to see it that day. We arrived as schedule she was not available and the dealer had not received the car. Horrible bait and switch! Bad business practices! I called on July 3rd and dealership confirmed car was in stock. I applied for the loan online and sales manager was informed. I check the next morning and the car was in stock. I traveled for 2.5 hours and when I arrived they said the car had been sold. It had been on the lot for over 30 days and I am not sure I believe them when they told me it sold 3 hours before I arrived. They did not call to tell me it was sold and replied that it was a miscommunication. I don't believe that. They tried to sell me another car on the lot I did not want. I do not believe they were being honest with me, and so I would not recommend doing business with this dealership. More
