I make the drive for a reason I have driven to Longview from Tyler every time, for their excellent service. I trust them to take my concerns seriously. This time, along with my las I have driven to Longview from Tyler every time, for their excellent service. I trust them to take my concerns seriously. This time, along with my last 6-month maintenance appointment, they took all the time needed to do an in-depth diagnostic on my battery until they found the cause of my issue. My battery was holding a charge, but not actually charging well. I had actually been unable to start my car twice. They were sincere about apologizing for the time it took, but I was expecting a wait and perfectly all right with it. I wanted it fixed, and not just recharged and tested. They found the problem and my battery was replaced. I'm grateful. More
Just stay away from this place! I purchased a 2019 Tacoma with 15 miles on it. 3-4 days after the purchase it started to shudder/hesitate from 4th gear up. I have had it in 3 times, I purchased a 2019 Tacoma with 15 miles on it. 3-4 days after the purchase it started to shudder/hesitate from 4th gear up. I have had it in 3 times, the TOL master tech, TOL service adviser and the Toyota Corp. Field Service Technician (FST) have all admitted something is going on with the truck. However, because Toyota has conveyed the issue is not significant enough for them to address (read between the lines...not enough people have complained), they are not going to do anything about it at this time. When I first spoke with the owner of TOL, he assured me they would do everything in their power to see that I had a satisfactory outcome. I was also told by one of the salesmen involved in my initial purchase that even if they had to put in a new transmission, they would do what they needed to do in order for me to be happy with the vehicle. The owner rode in the truck today and denied feeling any such shudder so, of course, his word rules supreme and lets them off the hook. The service adviser also rode in the vehicle and admitted to feeling the bump/shudder/hesitation in not only my truck but another 2019 that was new on the lot that we test drove. The assurances of them doing the right thing and making sure they would do what needed to be done to fix my issue has turned out to be nothing more than lip service and empty words. The owner has no intention of standing behind his product or delivering on the customer service they claim to have. My truck continues to bump/shudder/hesitate...they have felt it and admitted to me they felt it and still they refuse to make it right. I am paying for a brand new vehicle that is DEFECTIVE and Toyota of Longview is turning a blind eye and hiding behind the manufacturer, shrugging their shoulders and basically telling me tough luck. Again, THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE. Their idea of customer service is to give the customer the run-around until the customer gets so fed up they just walk away. I can walk away but I still have a DEFECTIVE vehicle that they sold to me and they are not doing anything to make it right. Do NOT buy anything at Toyota of Longview. They do NOT stand behind their product. No reflection on the 2 salespeople who worked my deal. Those 2 two people were a pleasure to deal with, sadly, I can't say the same for the customer service side of things. When this dealership was Pat Lobb Toyota a few months ago, things were much much better, now however, it appears things are right back to old "Toyota of Longview" mentality which was horrible. Drive to Dallas or Marshall if you want a Toyota. *****UPDATE (1/28/19) ***** So, imagine my surprise when I received a phone call this morning from a Police Officer stating that he had received a call from the owner of Toyota of Longview who was reporting me for writing this negative review on social media. The Best Vehicle Purchase Ever! I chose my tentative purchase from their website. Zachary Williams contacted me immediately and provide drive out cost in a matter of minutes. Upon arrival the Rav4 I was interested in was ready for the test drive. Zachary was very attentive and intuitive in providing all answers to all questions, even those I did not know to have. The Sales Manager, Will Dyer, came over and introduced himself during our visit with Zachary. The purchase was finalized my complete satisfaction. Zachary even took us to meet with the Service Department and set appointment for first service. Randy, their Credit Manager, was thorough and personable with integrity, a rare find in retail auto sales. The entire team can be described as true professionals! Toyota of Longview will be my "Go To" dealer from this point forward. More
