Took my 2019 tundra in for a fuel pump recall which required removal of the gas tank. When the work was completed I look up under the truck at the gas tank and notice the bolt that secures the tank onl required removal of the gas tank. When the work was completed I look up under the truck at the gas tank and notice the bolt that secures the tank only had a couple of threads holding it. After showing the service guy he put it back on the lift to correct. They apologized, but I have lost confidence in this dealership. This should not happen, a mechanic always double checks his work. I had a recent experience with Toyota of Kingsport that was very disappointing. We found a 2018 Toyota Sequoia Platinum listed on several websites, including the Toyota of Kingsport website, for $50,950. W was very disappointing. We found a 2018 Toyota Sequoia Platinum listed on several websites, including the Toyota of Kingsport website, for $50,950. We were eager to speak to a salesperson to see if we could come to the amount we needed. Marvin Tolley called me to discuss numbers. He informed us that they’d decided to raise the price of this vehicle to $53,900 due to the decision to certify the Sequoia. Raising a price by nearly $3,000 like this is unacceptable. This put the vehicle out of the range of being able to negotiate for us at all since we had offered $45,000 to buy straight out with no trades. Toyota of Kingsport needs to make sure of their pricing before listing it on multiple websites. We are ready to buy, but they lost our business after this. We do NOT recommend going to Toyota of Kingsport! More

Liars Brian the general manager lied to the better business bureau and us. Sold my wife a certified SUV with a burnt up transmission. My wife done the sale Brian the general manager lied to the better business bureau and us. Sold my wife a certified SUV with a burnt up transmission. My wife done the sale and they said it was a great deal. They took the vehicle back because Brian didn't want me contacting Toyota on them selling a certified vehicle in that condition. Everyone at the dealership is like you are bothering me, why should I have to deal with you. Cant speak much of their service department either due to them not knowing where the transmission dipstick is. And I was supposed to be confident that they could replace the transmission. Leon spoke with my wife and had her so upset that her nose bleed. More
Great Experience Derrick was great in every way and surpassed my expectation on customer service! I could not have been happier with the decision we made to work with Derrick was great in every way and surpassed my expectation on customer service! systems blocked service I bought a 2003 Expedition from T of K. The people that worked there were nice and the deal was fair. I think my frustration is in the fact that the I bought a 2003 Expedition from T of K. The people that worked there were nice and the deal was fair. I think my frustration is in the fact that they didn't exercise what I would consider, is common sense. I had a framework for the agreement before arriving....all we needed to do was test drive the cars. Mine to sell...theirs to buy. after 30 min maximum we had completed this. I arrived at 5:30 after driving from Anderson, SC. It was well known to the staff that I had an additional 2.5 hours to drive home.....so at 6 when we were ready to do the paperwork, I was thinking I'd be home 8:30 to 9 pm. Instead, I sat.....I was told after 1.5 hours that it wouldn't be much longer...only 2 business managers were working and a lot of people had bought cars ahead of me........so I sat. around 7 I was hungry so I went to dinner....I was told .5 hours more....so I was back at 7:30......sitting.......waiting.....by 8:15 I finally saw the business manager...he said, " this will only take a few minutes".....I told him that it made me angry that I had to wait so long. He was irritated by this and told me that the policy is the order is determined by the tried and true first in/first out....normally this makes perfect sense. after 10 min, I was done and could leave. I understand I am not the only person on the planet. I understand first come/first serve. But when you have a customer that has to drive 2.5 hours, and you can get them out of the door in 10 min, wouldn't it make sense to adjust the policy slightly? Maybe the other people would have also been irritated by waiting an additional 10 min, or maybe they wouldn't have known the difference, but it would have made a big difference to one of your customers. Perhaps following the lead of the grocery store where they have an express line for the easy quick ones...PARTICULARLY when you know the customer has a long trip ahead would make a little sense. All of the employees were nice....all of them told me exactly why I was waiting...but rather than explain the problem, maybe a quick solution was in order. More
