Toyota of Goldsboro is the worst car purchasing experience in my lifetime! I purchased a used Kia Optima for my daughter in 2021! We took the car to the Kia dealership who informed us that it was experience in my lifetime! I purchased a used Kia Optima for my daughter in 2021! We took the car to the Kia dealership who informed us that it was consuming oil! I notified the salesman at Toyota of Goldsboro of the problem! He asked me to come in to discuss getting another vehicle! We return to the dealership and at first we was told that that couldn’t do anything due to the warranty! He told me to just let it go back and they would put us in another vehicle! I explained to him that I would not due that because I did not want to damage our credit! I told my daughter to let’s go go due to this salesman not making sense! The salesman informed us to hold on and let him talk to someone else! This Kia violated the Lemon law because it had an oil consumption problem from the beginning! A few minutes later they pulled a white Toyota Corolla to the front and asked did we like that and of course my daughter did! This was the only way we could get out of the Kia at the time! They informed us that we would still had to pay off the Kia which I wrong due to the oil consumption problem which would require a new engine! We purchase the Corolla and the salesman advised us that in a few months we could get it refinanced through the Credit Union! The car had some damage on the trunk and spoiler in which the salesman promised that he would schedule a date to bring it in to be repaired! That date has not approached yet! It was also missing floor mats in which he stated that he ordered but no floor mats yet! We went back for the second time last month! They started that we could get a new Toyota Camry with $4000 as a down payment! This violates the Truth of Lending Act! We left the dealership with the same Toyota Corolla! I was informed by the salesman prior to leaving to give him a call on Monday which is almost a month ago! He informed me that he was talking to a friend at the Credit Union who was trying to help us out with this situation! The salesman said, “I call you when the bank get back with me”! I waited for 3 weeks before calling the salesman from Toyota of Goldsboro! He gave me the lamest excuse talking about no news is good news! I bank with Credit Union and they don’t know anything about this! More
Beware of finance manager! Toyota had 2.9% financing on Camrys when I bought mine but nobody told me about it. Finance manager John said the best rate at the time was 7.44% and Toyota had 2.9% financing on Camrys when I bought mine but nobody told me about it. Responsiveness of Service Dept. , was lousy. Was promised our vehicle the next day, but it took another two days to get it back. Service advisor never kept us informed, and when we r , was lousy. Service Dept. employees were all sitting around and appeared bored or uninterested in our situation. This dealership is clearly on life-support. Communication skills non-existent. Customer service and courtesy a joke. It's all about grabbing your wallet and moving on to the next sucker. Avoid at all costs. More
They do not install everything you purchased and make thing up that do not exist. I caught in my purchase and they will not call back to make things right. I love Toyota vehicles but I hate this dealer. It is a terrible representation of the company. Here to scam you and make you pay more for a vehicle than expected. The finance dept is a joke and rude. Wish I could give zero stars. I would not recommend this place for a first time buyer they will absolutely will screw you over. I’m currently trading in my vehicle with another dealership and was told they charged me a power train warranty I didn’t need and I’m trying to get a copy of my warranty and cancel it and the GENERAL MANGER can’t give me that information because they have warranty specialist for that but the finance manager is the one who snuck the warranty into my contract? It took me 9 time to call to get in touch with someone cause they kept hanging up on me. They are so unorganized. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt was going to go back to trade in my vehicle with them since that’s where I bought it. I went in for appraisal and haven’t even got a phone call about that either. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I will never purchase a vehicle with them ever again. The sales manager attitude sucks and are complete unprofessional! More
