So, my husband and I have been looking for a mid size suv. We drove down last Sunday. I can’t remember the salesman’s name but he was kind. We test drove a used Volkswagen Atlas. The car had clearly not suv. We drove down last Sunday. I can’t remember the salesman’s name but he was kind. We test drove a used Volkswagen Atlas. The car had clearly not been detailed thoroughly but we were still interested. I was aware I was upside down on my Nissan Altima, but the finance guy basically refused to work with us unless we had substantial money down. Little did they know we could put money down if we wanted and had agreed upon the price of the trade and the price of the Atlas. But they wouldn’t even allow us to get to that point. However, we shopped elsewhere all week, finally settled on a better used Atlas over at Dothan Volkswagen. They didn’t turn us away, got us into a beautiful vehicle, no down payment and about the same car payment as my Altima!! More
Purchased a vehicle on a Friday and the sales associate said he would reach out to me in a few days to see how the vehicle was doing. The following Monday the vehicle started acting up and the check engine said he would reach out to me in a few days to see how the vehicle was doing. The following Monday the vehicle started acting up and the check engine light came on. When the sales associate reached out, I told him about the car issues and he stopped responding to texts and didn’t return my call. It’s now Thursday and I’ve already had to put the car in the shop for replacement parts. I’ve had this vehicle for less than a week. I will not be returning to this dealership or recommending it to anyone. Major buyer beware when dealing with this company. More
I purchased a vehicle recently and the sales team/management did not meet my expectations. The salesperson did not seem to care about my concerns and situation as I came there to look for a used team/management did not meet my expectations. The salesperson did not seem to care about my concerns and situation as I came there to look for a used car because my previous one already had some major issues. Knowing that I am an unexperienced buyer, he took of advantage of that by advising me to purchase a car as soon as possible, therefore, rushing me to get one that day. Although that may have been my choice at the end of the day, it doesn't change the fact that all he cared about was meeting the sale as opposed to the customer's needs. In addition, he failed to mention that the car I purchased had some missing and broken parts, including the spare tire and tools that you would need to replace a flat tire. I also checked the cabin filter to see that the air filter cover was broken. Furthermore, I requested a duplicate key fob and he said he would get back to me as soon as the previous owner would return it to him. It has been a few months already and had reached out to him a couple times since, but no response was provided. Not only that, but the financial manager mistakenly wrote "white" as the color of my vehicle as opposed to black. When I had requested it for correction, the employees I talked to seemed irritated at me and unconcerned about it. They said it's not important, but I beg to differ as the correct information has to be in papers like that. I would not recommend this dealership. More

I have purchased two cars from Toyota of Fort Walton Beach. My first experience was fantastic, but my second experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. It has been over three months and five t Beach. My first experience was fantastic, but my second experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. It has been over three months and five trips on a walker due to a broken femur to the dealership I made an effort to even call 4 times and I still don't have the title sent to my loan company. Despite their claims that it was sent off, it remains unresolved. They also canceled my extended warranty over two months ago without notifying me. I only found out when I went in for service. To make matters worse, I still haven't been refunded the $4000 for the canceled warranty, which I have been paying interest on. Additionally, when I took my car in to get a nail out of the tire, they claimed to check all the tires but missed another nail. This oversight cost me an extra two hours of waiting. When I went to voice my concerns, the manager, Corey Chaplin, approached me with hostility, shoving a piece of paper in my face which I found extremely rude, with shipping information for the title they claimed was sent two months ago. He made no effort to de-escalate the situation or address my concerns. I am extremely disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism at Toyota of Fort Walton Beach. I strongly advise against doing business with them. I’m stilled dumb founded none of my concerned have been attended to. I Will never recommend or be back to this location ever again. More

They deserve zero stars. It's been three years since I bought my 2021 Camry and I still remember how they ripped me off like it was yesterday. I was in a hurry as I was car It's been three years since I bought my 2021 Camry and I still remember how they ripped me off like it was yesterday. I was in a hurry as I was caring for my 91 year old mother who was very ill. I paid cash with no trade in ... and we agreed on a price including the $299 charge for lifetime nitrogen in the tires $699 for toyota platinum package which included all of and of two oil changes . Next day I go to pick up the car and the crooks added FL LAW TIRE / BATTERY FEE $455 and $887 for dealer profit and processing. I was shocked and when asked about it, the sales crook said "hey ... we've got to make money on the deal, too." My ride had left to get to his job and to this day I regret "taking it in the shorts" and paying it. More

Around 2018 the vehicle stability control would suddenly arrest the rotation of one of the front wheels while going around a curve, especially if the van was going downhill. This was terrible in eastern Tennessee but intermittent in Florida. Toyota of Fort Walton Beach (Toyota of FWB) told me it needed to be constant to find the problem. As long as I avoided hill country, it was intermittent. Early last year I noted the cruise control failure warning would come on, intermittently, when the cruise control was on but not engaged. Then, late last year, after starting the engine, the transmission shift lever would not come out of Park. After a period of time, it would unstick. But the biggest annoyance for the last five years was the accelerator would periodically not change the gear or the speed of the van when pressed. This usually occurred soon after beginning to drive and would happen with gentle curves right or left when going up an incline. Again, Toyota of FWB cannot help until it is constant, say the service advisors. In January of 2020 a Toyota mechanic/technician thought the transmission was the cause so I had a new transmission put in. I picked up the van, drove a few miles and immediately returned. I told them the problem was still there. I was told it took a while for the computer to work with the new transmission. Then the pandemic occurred so we drove less. Meanwhile I felt the problem was slowly getting more frequent. On 5 Jan 2024 when I took my van into Toyota of FWB for an alignment, Robert, a Toyota technician, brought it around to me and happened to mention that he felt the shift lever stick in Park and that I might consider a new brake light switch. So, on 9 Jan 2024 I had Toyota put in a new Stop Light Switch Assembly. Now, for more than a month, the vehicle stability control has not startled us with suddenly braking one of the front wheels. For more than a month, the cruise control has not shown a failure light. For more than a month, the shift lever is easily moved out of Park. And, most importantly for me, for more than a month, whenever I push the gas pedal, the van accelerates – every time. Thank you, Robert at Toyota of FWB. May God bless. You have given me back my van. Parenthetically, these switches are $35 to $47 at Autozone, Advance Auto. Toyota charged $126.67. There are videos online showing how to replace it. Toyota charged $85 labor. But these costs are miniscule compared with a $5000 transmission and more than five years of progressive annoyance, apprehension, and insecurity. More

Worst service department I’ve ever experienced. All three visits I’ve made to this location were disastrous regarding timing. Oil change 2.5 hours… Unbelievable. Never again.
