We have been traveling 26 miles each way for nearly 15 years instead of using the competing dealer that is 5 miles away because Toyota of Easley seemed so much better. On 10-28-2024 I arrived on time fo years instead of using the competing dealer that is 5 miles away because Toyota of Easley seemed so much better. On 10-28-2024 I arrived on time for my appointment to have the brakes checked. Mr. Amado checked me in. He pointed to Mr. Ryan Maxey with whom the appt was originally made and said that Maxey would be in charge of my visit. Amado asked if I would be waiting for the car and I said I would be waiting. After one hour and 45 minutes, I approached Maxey and asked if everything was OK. He seemed to have no idea what I was talking about but looked up the car and said it was still being diagnosed. I walked back into the waiting room, about 40 feet away, and Maxey appeared almost instantly, just as I sat down, saying the diagnosis had "just popped up!" He simply had no idea I was there. If it takes an hour and 45 minutes to figure out the rear brake shoes need adjusting, they need to speak with the tech, but I'm sure the tech is just fine. Again, it appeared Maxey had no idea I was waiting. One hour later, a slim White female, name unknown, asked me to step out and pay. They had adjusted the rear brake shoes. Only. Nothing more. In a total of TWO hours and forty-five minutes. I asked if she knew why it had taken so long and her reply was that she was sorry about the "communication mix-up." My guess is, Maxey had explained it to her and didn't feel like explaining to me. My main point is, I can't see driving over 25 miles each way only to receive the same poor service I had experienced years ago at the competing dealer only 5 miles away. I'm sure Toyota of Easley is making money hand-over-fist, but they have changed, and not for the better. If Mr. Norris or anyone else would like to contact me, they can simply look up the two-hour and forty-five minute brake adjustment on the Corolla on 10-28-2024. Not holding my breath based on this last experience. I am truly disappointed in what had seemed like the best dealership around. More
