Bait and switch. I went through the Toyota website to buy a Toyota Rav4 Prime plug in s.u.v. and was directed to Dartmouth Toyota in Massachusetts. the internet sales associate sent me a price on the ca buy a Toyota Rav4 Prime plug in s.u.v. and was directed to Dartmouth Toyota in Massachusetts. the internet sales associate sent me a price on the car, "2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime SE - Stock# 14401 Your Price Promise Quote $41,219". the internet sales coordinator called me at 10:30am, said they had the car in stock as quoted in the email they sent me. i made an appointment at Toyota Dartmouth, MA. with the internet sales coordinator for 12:00 the same day, just 1-1/2 hour later to come in, see the car and test drive it. i got my 2 year old son ready, had to adjust his sleep schedule, my wife ready, my other son ready and myself ready to get to the dealership for our appointment. As told, i asked for the internet sales coordinator when i got there, that person did not come to meet me, instead i was seated with a different sales person, or who i assume is a salesperson, but it was never told to me. this person clicked on the computer for a few minutes without speaking to me at all as i waited. this salesperson got up walked away for a couple minutes and came back. when they came back they said that car had already been sold and that we could not even test drive it; but they said they could show us a different car. i was in disbelief. they told me they had the car i wanted, and even gave me a price for it not even an hour and a half before i got there. i said so you just wasted two hours of my time then. the salesperson said yes. no apologies, no explanations, nothing. i just got up and walked out in frustration. Went to a trustworthy mechanic and they found issues that would have been noticeable during a certification inspection. Stay way away from this dealer and always get a trustworthy mechanic to inspect your used vehicle especially from this dealership. Again just stay away and go to a better Toyota Dealer. More
Servicing of our Toyota Was hearing a noise under the hood thought it had something to do with ac. Had it checked found it was the alternator. Had extended coverage so Jon Medeiros did the leg work calling the company, getting the inspector to come to Toyota of Dartmouth to check the car b4 work could be done. Jon did all that, kept calling them till they got there & also kept us well informed about what was going on. Jon is a very conscientious and friendly young man who takes his job very seriously. did not close hood after oil change Not kidding. I had just finished an oil change and was waiting for the car wash, a the guy comes around the corner and sees me. He pushes my hood do Not kidding. This is also the same the place that spilled cleaner on my leather seats. The safety latch should have held it, My way out was via the highway. What worries me about errors like this is that these are the ones I can SEE. What did they do with things I can't see? The overall quality control was poor. I now drive down to Newport to that Toyota dealer. When it was Premier it was amazing. Now its Langlay and I am not that impressed but they still seem decent enough. A minor things was the person at the counter made me wait in line while he had a wonderful conversation, I think it was about the fire department. I felt like I was bothering them. I don't believe he was a customer. I do see lots of good reviews. I hope they are really from people and not just created by the dealership. I did buy the car there. The car buying part was fine.
