Fraud I dropped my car off with Bay Ridge Toyota because the buttons several of the buttons (around 70% but not all) on the touch screen were not functionin I dropped my car off with Bay Ridge Toyota because the buttons several of the buttons (around 70% but not all) on the touch screen were not functioning. Specifically, I was trying to pair a bluetooth phone. Upon walking in, the service associate told me the radio was broken and needed to be replaced. That seemed reasonable to me, so I agreed. Several days later, after the new radio has been replaced, they called me and told me to pick up the car. I get in the car -- and to my surprise -- the exact same buttons that were not working on the old radio were now not working on the new radio. After another day, they explained that they had plugged the new radio in improperly and now it is apparently fixed. When I asked if the radio needed to be replaced or if was also not plugged in properly (given that it had the exact same symptoms as a new radio that had just been plugged in incorrectly) I was told that they are required to immediately send back old radios, but rest assured, it was definitely broken. I don't believe them whatsoever. I believe that I paid $829 to install a radio that I did not need and they could have checked the wires on the old radio prior to deciding that it was without hope. I will also mention that this took five taxi rides to and from to get accomplished as they had me come back twice to pick up a still broken vehicle. More

Dishonest, felt scammed, took 9 hours for routine service. Brought car in for scheduled maintenance. I was there at my appointment time and told car would be ready before noon. Called around 12:30 pm and told there was a leak in one of the tires and it couldn't be repaired because of a previous repair. Two weeks earlier, I replace one of the tires and the other 3 were original tires and had never been repaired. Asked Ernie, the service person, to please hold on to the bad tire so I could return it for refund to the place I had bought it. He told me he would replace the bad tire for $309 and I gave him my credit card info over the phone. He called me back an hour or so later to tell me there was a problem with the radiator that they were looking into, but that it would be ready by 2 pm in order for my son-in-law to pick it up. When he got there around 2:30, they told me they still had to do the tire and it would take another 45 minutes. I told my son-in-law to remind them to give him the old tire. Forty-five minutes after that they told him there wasn't any problem with the tire after all. I spoke to Ernie, who told me he would tear up the credit card authorization. My son-in-law did not get the car back until 4 pm. They said nothing to him about the radiator. I find this very smelly, to say the least. Also, 6 months ago, when I brought the car in for it's scheduled check-up, they also failed to get the car back to me in the estimated time, even though I'd brought it in early in the morning. Totally unprofessional at the least, and makes me think that if I hadn't asked to have the "bad" tire returned to me, I probably would have been out the $309 they were going to charge e for a new one. I left my car on oct 8 I took my car to bay ridge Toyota 4 times for a noise in the front tires jp service manger told me nothing is wrong with the car at one time he kept m I took my car to bay ridge Toyota 4 times for a noise in the front tires jp service manger told me nothing is wrong with the car at one time he kept my car for 4 days and didn’t even do anything to it now I drop off the car on October 8 Tracy called me and said I need a front drive and passenger axle but it’s not covered under the wrannty when I spoke to jp he said the right side is covered and not the left now they have the car for 2 days didn’t change anything car is still on the lift then he told me he will call the wrannty company and told me to wait after 2 hours I find him and he tells me he thought I left I’m sitting in the waiting area he passed buy me 10 times just Ingoner me and didn’t tell me what to do horrible experience I had with bay riding Toyota customer service is terrible and jp doesn’t know how to handle anything now I been without a car for 3 days I need help More

Dishonest Service I was having issues with my brake and the brake light came on. Long story short, essentially the salesman I was working with misdiagnosed it and instructed me to pay for something that wasn’t the main issue. I came to pick up my car and the brake was still stiff. The fact that he was giving the car back to me with it still faulty already blew my mind. And then he had to rediagnose it to quote me yet another part. And the sickening part is that it was very obvious he was looking for other things that has nothing to do with the brake in hopes to upsell me. It’s dishonest and unprofessional. Just an awful experience overall. Can’t trust Bay Ridge Toyota. More
