It took them over 6 weeks, 35 phone calls and 9 in-person visits to resolve all outstanding is BUYING A CAR FROM HERE WAS A COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME. It took them over 6 weeks, 35 phone calls and 9 in-person visits to resolve all outstanding issues. Here are 10 reasons why you should not buy a car from Toyota Universe: 1) Toyota Universe sold me a defective car. The engine started making a noise as soon as I drove the car off the lot. 2) The sales lady assured me that the car has been inspected the same way all other cars have been inspected, proving that their inspections are pointless. 3) The Finance Managers here send your credit application out to multiple banks at the same time, which affects your credit score. 4) The mechanics were still not able to figure out the issue and wanted to keep my car for another 2 weeks. What kind of certified Toyota dealership cannot figure out an engine problem? 5) The sales reps, service advisers and managers don't answer calls and ignore texts and emails. I had called Toyota Universe over 35 times in total. They put me on long holds and keep saying that they will call me back after speaking to a manager. When I follow up, they say that the manager is still looking into it, but don't transfer me to them directly. 6) I had to go in person to the dealership over 9 times. I was dealing with 7 different people, out of which 4 were "managers". It's an absolute maze to get anything done here because everyone says something different and no one takes responsibility for what they say. 7) The managers are useless. They will avoid giving you direct answers and send their associates to speak to you when they are unable to answer for themselves. 8) To get you to leave, one manager promises you a loaner car and tells you to make an appointment. When you come back, the manager is missing and another manager says that the first manager was wrong and no loaner cars can be given. The first manager ignores you and does not have the decency to come talk to you when you go there. 9) The Used Car Manager (Joe) is rude and unprofessional. The deal was called off and I returned the car, but Toyota Universe refused to refund my money to me. It took over a week of back and forth for me to get my money back. 10) Toyota Universe did not pay the loan back to the bank. I had to call the sales manager over 8 times for him to finally return the money to the bank and take my name off as the person responsible for payment. More
