So I drove 45 minutes to the dealership. Janis was nowhere to be found, and a salesman who came after 10 minutes told me he had no RAV4 Hybrid LEs and wouldn't for weeks. He tried to interest me in a Prius. Then I remember that the EXACT SAME bait and switch happened to me at Toyota Universe in 2021. What an awful, dishonest business. John More

BEWARE FALSE ADVERTISING Found a 2021 Camry for $21,000, but they list the “National Average” price at $31,000 implying a $10,000 discount. A quick Blue Book Value check was closer to $25,000 so n $21,000, but they list the “National Average” price at $31,000 implying a $10,000 discount. A quick Blue Book Value check was closer to $25,000 so naturally I suspect something is off. I called the dealer to get the OTD price but was told I had to come in for that. Okay fine. I also ask about financing, since they advertise 0% APR available on their website. I’m told that yes, 0% APR is available for the vehicle. So I make an appointment to come in, When I finally get to talk to someone about pricing, I’m told that the 0% APR financing option only applies to the $31,000 price! So then I said forget the financing, show me the breakdown of the final OTD price. They add a $2000 “reconditioning fee.” I ask what did you recondition on the car? The rep could not explain and just said it’s some sort of average cost incurred across all their used vehicles. I said this was not included in the advertised price, but they would not remove the fee. The rep further explained that this fee, and the financing details, should have been explained to me when I first called. It wasn’t. They offered to send me a check for $50 for my trouble. More
