Bait and Switch, Click Bait, Ripping People OFF, you name it and that is what they are doing! I have been in the market looking at NEW Toyota 4 Runners up wheee I live in Charleston SC. I have been to several dealerships up here that have Large Inventory of NEW 4Runners. I especially like the Luna Rock Color that I was told it wouldn’t be coming in for a few weeks, I was ok with waiting because I don’t want the Red, Black, or White,, Silver in every Trim it comes in. I was trying to decide if I wanted Luna Rock or Charcoal Gray so because I was using the internet to browse colors and trucks this VERO BEACH Dealership popped up as an ad for the Luna Rock color in the same trim I wanted. So I put my info in and the online person contacted me and got me with the salesperson ALAN C. I asked him if he had it, he said he would check he then proceeds to sent me a picture of a piece of paper with the price and his card on it. First of all I asked him to send me the window sticker so I could see the options and price to confirm it was what I wanted and the ONLY a thing he sent was the paper that showed an UPCHARGE Of $11,990 of accessories and a bunch of other charges totaling the truck out To be over $68 000!! I asked him what was the accessory charge was for and his answer to me was that they don’t sell cars for MSRP because they are a great truck and used ones are costing more than new ones. I couldn’t believe my eyes when he sent me that. I told him he’s a FOOL if he thinks I am going to pay $15,000 for a 4Runner that has. It been updated in 8 years and it’s a freaking dinosaur with gas of 18MPG with the last upgrade 8 years ago and asked him if he thinks it’s a Bronco Pre-order cause idiots paid for the new marked up when they first came out. I then told him the NEW 2024 4RUNNER- will be coming out completely Revamped as the 6th Generation. I told him he was insane and wrong to be telling people there are no 4Runners out there and charging 15k over MSRP. Then he told me he had a couple in the showroom right.now paying over MSRP , so I then told him I will make sure EVERYONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! They are LYING and Saying there is NO INVENTORY and jacking the prices up ! WHOMEVER READS THIS MUST KNOW DO NOT SHOP HERE, DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES,and I HAVR PROOF OF EVERYTHING I JUST WROTE JN THIS REVIEW! BUYER BEWARE!!! More

DECEPTIVE PRACTICES! Beware! Wow, had a terrible experience with VERY shady practices. Our salesman was amazing, but the “internet price” ended up being $10k more than Beware! Wow, had a terrible experience with VERY shady practices. Our salesman was amazing, but the “internet price” ended up being $10k more than advertised for “add-ons” if a car is going to be $10k more, just put that as the price! Don’t try and be dodgy by adding $5990 for “add-ons” and $2990 for certification. Very deceptive practices. I feel terrible for anyone who has fallen for these false charges. Worse experience I’ve had with shady dealings in all my years of shopping for cars! I hope this is fixed soon as it is a travesty for hard working Americans to get fleeced this way! More
