Based on my previous car buying experiences, I tend to be cynical when it comes to dealing with car salesmen. Having to buy a new car is more of a stressful experience for me rather than an enjoyable one. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to purchasing our new Toyota Venza. However, as it turns out, my concerns were unfounded. I first of all dealt with Mike LaTerra. He spent a lot of time with me, including a lengthy test drive. I liked his laid back style, I never felt rushed, and never felt any pressure to make a committment. I had already priced the Venza using Edmunds so I was familiar with the invoice price and the "list price". Mike quoted me a very good price, which after checking with some other Toyota dealers, turned out to be the best price I could get. My wife and I returned the next day to finalize the deal before the 0% financing ran out. Mike was off that day so Luis Gonzalez helped us and he turned out to be just as knowledgeable and just as patient with us as Mike was. He had the Metallic Silver Venza ready for us to take another test drive since my wife hadn't come with me the day before. Once again, we never felt pressured to make a quick decision. It was all very pleasant. They made the decision to purchase the Venza an easy one. When we returned to pick up the Venza, both Mike and Luis spent more time with us explaining every minute detail of the car. Once the deal was closed, I didn't expect that they would spend so much additional time with us. It was almost as if they were still trying to sell the car. They both spent time with us going over the Bluetooth capability of the Venza, as well as other features of the car. I can honestly say that this was by far the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. I would recommend DCH Toyota City without any reservations, and in particular Mike or Luis. Even though the dealership is not that close to where we live, I intend to bring our Venza there for servicing. If Mike and Luis are any indication of the quality of customer service that DCH provides, then it will have been worth the trip. More

We have previously walked out of two other toyota dealerships because of the sales personnel. Within 10 minutes of speaking with Michael, we purchased a new 2011 RAV4 Limited. When we came in to pick up my new vehicle, Michael took as much time as we needed to explain all the features to us. He made us feel like we were his top priority, no matter how many questions I had. I have highly recommended Michael to several of my friends who are in the market for a new car. It was time for my regular service. The team in service treated me very courteously and efficiently. They were considerate of my time and of my questions. From the check in girl, Laura, to my service consultant, Mr. Daniel Ramos, every person in this dealership went out of their way to make sure my concerns were dealt with. The used car sales manager was either completely incompetent (at best) or totally apathetic (at worst). It was next to impossible to get a hold of him, and--in the rare event when we did--the BS fle incompetent (at best) or totally apathetic (at worst). It was next to impossible to get a hold of him, and--in the rare event when we did--the BS flew all over the place. He lied about our financing options. He lied about receiving the check. He lied about his availability. He simply could not have cared any less about us after we said we'd take the car. This was without question the worst experience we've had buying a vehicle. Avoid this dealer, unless price of the vehicle is good enough to be walked over and repeatedly lied to and misled. If you must do business with this dealer, stay on top of them like white on rice. Voicemail will go unanswered. Concerns or special requests will be ignored. Unless you constantly hound them for information. Also, the used car sales manager will arrange meetings with you on his days off. That is not to say that he will diligently do business on his day off, I mean that he will stand you up without notification or apology. Ask ahead of any meeting if he is planning to take the day off. After making arrangements to pick up the car, we drove 2 hours only to find out that Mr. McMorrow was taking a scheduled day off. He made no arrangements with anyone on his staff to fill-in in his absence. A truly unprofessional and adolescent move. It's a pretty noticeable trend in these reviews that everyone buying new cars is treated like royalty, and those buying used are getting jerked around. More
