Toyota Bountiful had a good sales event going over a few days. I came in on a lark from a mailer they sent to my home. Even though I got there before opning time on a Saturday, Bill came out to great me, walked arouond a long time with me, waited until my 21 y.o. son came (car was for him), answered all our questions, worked the thing with his management (and it really wasn't that lucrative of a deal for them), was there when we had more questions at the financers, and gave us good customer service with some superficial paint and trim things after the sale. Overall, I'd rate Bill very high, as well as the dealership. We'll come back. More
After some issues with their finance department the General Manager, Kirk Bengtzen, called me personally and worked out my issues. I am very happy with Toyota Bountiful now. Toyota Bountiful have probably the best staff on hand. My husband and I needed another vehicle and decided to shop around. Last week, we stopped at Nissan of Riverdale. Let me tell you. The sales agent, Steve was great but when their sales floor manager stepped in, Chris, things started to turn down hill. He pressured us into something we didn't want and when we told him what we want and what we can afford, he didn't listen. Seem to me, all he cared about was selling a car. So when I said no, he said, I don't sugar coat this, but Chris exact words were "you will NOT find anyone out there who will meet your expectations with that budget you have". Well he sure was wrong! When we went to Toyota Bountiful, we didn't feel any pressure and they listened to what we wanted, our budget and we left feeling happy and not overwhelmed. Britton K. and Cameron P. were wonderful. They were both efficient and knowledgeable in what they were selling. They sat with us and showed us what options there were they met our budget. Their finance dept., Kelsie was great to work with. She broke down what meant what so we knew what we were paying and where it was going to. Overall, Toyota Bountiful has a amazing crew that is willing to wait and hear you out and not pressure you. After visiting every Toyota dealership in SLC and practically giving up hope of ever getting a car, we landed at Toyota Bountiful. I knew from the minute I walked in and met with David Hood that I would be purchasing my car that night. David was very friendly and professional. We were treated with respect and the typical pushiness that you expect in a dealership was absent. We also discussed price with Auggie who was courteous, fair and professional. Both David and Auggie were critical for my decision. I could have purchased my 2012 RAV4 at any other dealership, but they were the ones that made me choose Toyota Bountiful. I highly recommend this team at Toyota Bountiful and will definitely contact them for any future purchases. More
I was losing brake fluid and a noise when stepping on the brake. I brought it in for diagnostics. I was immediately greeted by John with a smile and a readiness to assist me with my trouble. It was later determined to be an issue with the brake booster which they have never seen before. I was told it was too dangerous to keep driving it and so they arranged a rental for me while they keep my SUV for a Toyota Rep to come to inspect it as well. This was on a Saturday. The following Monday the Toyota Rep determined that Toyota would cover it along with the rental. By Wednesday my SUV was ready for me to pick up. John was very informative and helpful throughout the entire time. My experience with Toyota Bountiful has always been one of professionalism and friendliness. I will continue to have my SUV serviced there and would highly recommend them to anyone. More
I called Toyota Bountiful very late one evening inquiring about a Barcelona Red Tacoma that they had in stock. I talked with James Miller who offered to stay after closing time to allow me to look at the tru about a Barcelona Red Tacoma that they had in stock. I talked with James Miller who offered to stay after closing time to allow me to look at the truck. The truck was on a lift in the shop waiting to get after market tires and wheels the next day. Well after closing time we found ourselves in the shop area lowering the truck from the lift just to take a look inside. I left the dealership that night with pricing and information to enable me to make a decision on purchasing. The next day I made the decision to return and purchase the truck. James Miller was absolutely great to work with. My wife could not make it into the dealership to sign papers so James hit the highway and came out to Sandy at 9:00 pm to get her signatures. James is very dedicated to his work and it shows. He followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure that we were happy with our purchase. The Tacoma is wonderful so far and I highly recommend this vehicle to anyone looking at compact pickups. The only complaint about my experience at Toyota Bountiful is the truck was poorly detailed upon delivery. It is my understanding that they contract with another company to perform this work and James apologized for the appearance of the truck upon delivery. It was late at night and nothing more could be done at tht point. After a couple of hours of detail work the next day in my garage the truck looked fantastic. There is another Toyota dealership less than one mile from my home and I drove to Bountiful to make my purchase. It was worth the drive (twice). Thanks for everything James. More
UPDATE: After talking directly with Kirk Bengtzen we were able to find a way to make it work for everybody. I do appreciate very much that he and his team put the effort to work out a deal that will get us b able to find a way to make it work for everybody. It's very good to know that after all these hard times we will be taken care of. Thanks Bountiful Toyota! Short version: if you buy a used car from them take it straight to your mechanic and get it tuned up. Or you'll likely spend thousands of dollars. And don't buy the extended warranty. It is worthless no matter what they tell you. Long Version: Our experience buying the minivan was good. They worked very hard to find a way for us to get the minivan we wanted: a used Toyota Sienna. After a few hours we were off with a 2008 Toyota Sienna that seemed like it was a good deal. We even bought GAP insurance and an extended warranty to make sure we were protected if something went wrong with the minivan. Little did we know that barely two months after we bought the minivan we found ourselves on our way to Tacoma, WA on vacation when our car broke down. One of the spark plugs shot off and broke everything on its path. That's when all the problems came together: the local Toyota wanted to charges $4.4K to fix the car, the extended warranty did not cover spark plugs and Toyota Bountiful just wanted us to get the car fixed there in WA (no real help at all). I've contacted Toyota Bountiful several times. One time they left me holding for 45 minutes. Every time I spoke with their service manager he was more interested in me finding a solution somewhere else. In short, don't ever expect them to do the right thing after you're out of the lot. If you feel like you got a good deal run to the mechanic and make sure anything that can break gets fixed. You will regret it later if you don't. More
When I drove on the Toyota Bountiful lot to look for a truck I noticed a salesman approaching while I was exiting my vehicle. Jeff Christensen introduced himself to me and my 10 year old daughter and offered to assist me with finding the perfect truck to fit my needs. It only took a few words from Jeff before I realized, wow I am fortunate to have such a genuine & caring salesman who actually listened to my wants & needs and who was willing to find the perfect vehicle for me and my family. Jeff found the perfect truck that fit my needs and budget and as a bonus it was my very favorite color. I quickly fell in love with this truck and dreaded the fact that it was time to will and deal. In my past experience dealing with the price game and financing was a total drain, but to my astonishment Jeff and Scott treated me with respect and fairness. I could tell they really cared about what was important to me and again my budget and we worked out a deal that was above and beyond any past car purchases from other dealers. Wow I thought, no games! No Gimmicks! No Tricks. I actually found that purchasing a car from Toyota Bountiful was for no better words "Stress Free". Jeff and Scott was very customer oriented down to the last detail. Scott helped me with the perfect financing that not only met my credit needs but also that would help me increase my future credit score and track record. I gave a perfect score in all areas because I truely believe that Toyota Bountiful far exceded what customers expect with a car purchase. I also want to thank the service department (Tony Randall) for their hard work and detailed care to make my new truck perfect and ready for me to hit the road! I hope these words of gratitude and thanks explains why I gave perfect 5's "GREAT" all the way accross the board for the service Toyota Bountiful provided me and my family. Thanks, David Holmes More
