I brought my 2010 Prius in for its first oil change and couldn't be happier with the service that I received. Everyone at the dealership seems like they really enjoy their job and it is nice to deal with such a positive group. I waited while my car was being serviced and they told me it would take about an hour to do. My car was done in less time and I was happy to see that it was washed and cleaned inside and out.(That saved me the $12.50 car wash that I usually get.) Overall a great experience for something that is typically a chore. I will definitely go back to Towne Toyota. More

I started bringing my FJ to this local dealer for servicing a couple of years ago. I was impressed from the start and still am years later. Professional, clean-cut, and good looking crew of Service R servicing a couple of years ago. I was impressed from the start and still am years later. Professional, clean-cut, and good looking crew of Service Reps communicate well, get my truck back to me quicker than any other mechanic shop or dealer EVER has, and keep costs of repairs down as much as possible. I've never felt that this Service shop is trying to squeeze every last nickel out of me. They seem to understand that I adore my truck and that I want to do the right thing, but that I cannot afford to waste a dime. Unlike most car repair experiences in my life, I am usually pleasantly surprised by the cost of the repair and I feel confident that the Service department is doing the very best for me and for my truck. I love this dealer's Service department. Each and every visit has been a positive experience. It is very rewarding to be able to build a relationship over time with a business like this, and - honestly - they seem to work very hard to make the relationship work and to keep my faith going. When it comes time for me to part with my 2007 truck, I will go to this dealer for my purchase. More
Our 2002 Highlander, with only 76,000 miles, began spewing blueish smoke out the exhaust in January. We took it to Towne toyota for service. When we brought it in, the service manager complimented us o spewing blueish smoke out the exhaust in January. We took it to Towne toyota for service. When we brought it in, the service manager complimented us on what great condition it was in. Their sales dept. immediately started calling us asking if we waned to trade it in. They'd give us top dollar as it had such low mileage. After a few days, they called to say it was a leaky valve and we should replace them all and as long as they had the engine apart, it would be wise to also replace the timing belt, battery (original), water pump and replace 2 tires and have the wheels aligned. As our car had low mileage and we hoped to keep it another 5 years, we decided it would be worth the investment. $3700 later, we picked up the car only to have even more blueish smoke spew from the exhaust when we started the car. It was brought to the attention of Eric, our assigned service "professional". He stated it was probably just excess oil burning off from all the repair work. We drove the car home. Several days later it was spewing even more blueish smoke than when we had first taken it to Towne. We returned to the service dept. again. They assured us the problem would be resolved. They kept the car for an additional 19 days! We picked the car up and finally no smoke, however, on our drive home, as we exited the highway, we noticed a jerking when accelerating. We called the service dept. immediately upon arriving home. They did not return our call. A few days later, we reached out to them again. They said we should give it a few days. The car was now not shifting properly-never a problem before. We returned to the service dept yet again. They replaced a PCV valve, bank sensor and mass air flow sensor and advised us that they felt the transmission was shot. They could get us a used transmission with 96000 miles on it! and install it for another $3500!!! After having the car for 5 months-They totally screwed up our transmission and now wanted us to pay to get it replaced! We took the car home, barely made it there. Our perfectly good car worth $11,000 as a trade-in in January (their quote) is now a car that we can't drive or sell! We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs and Toyota Headquarters. NEVER take a car to Towne Toyota for service unless you want your perfectly good car trashed! More
This place will rip you off. We took in our 10 year old Siena van because the check engine light was on. They said it was a faulty air sensor, under warranty as we had recently replaced it, and a manifold Siena van because the check engine light was on. They said it was a faulty air sensor, under warranty as we had recently replaced it, and a manifold that needed replacing for $806. I said we were not sure we would spend that much to fix it, and were they sure it was the problem and what would happen if we did not fix it. They said they were sure and if we did not replace the manifold the catalytic converter would eventually go and that would cost more. So we paid the $806, but the check engine light came back on driving out of the parking light. They hooked it back up to the computer and said the catalytic converter was gone and it will be $1600 to replace it. They told us for the first time that a faulty air sensor can mask the real diagnosis in the computer reading-- which they already knew and said this has happened before! They refuse to refund the $806 even though we made clear we would not pay to fix the manifold if it would not solve the problem, the invoice says they fixed the problem of the check engine light being on when they did not, the car still undrivable, and they knew in advance that a faulty air sensor could make them misdiagnose it and neither told us this nor did the obvious to prevent misdiagnosis-- i.e. replace the air sensor first, drive the car, and then do the diagnostic. We have filed a complaint with the state under the Consumer Fraud Act. More
