Maureen, we would like to speak with you regarding your comments because we did nothing but try to help you at Towne Toyota. You purchased your vehicle at another dealer and unfortunately developed a leak in your tire days after your purchase. Towne Toyota discovered you had a nail in your tire that we were able to repair, we plugged the tire at a discounted rate. Your car was towed in days later with another flat tire. You called roadside assistance to have your car towed in and they dispatched a tow company, not Towne Toyota. Any damage as a result of this tow would have to be resolved between you, roadside and the tow company; unfortunately Towne Toyota can not even assist you in this matter. However, during your second visit we did find another nail in your tire. You were under the impression that your tires came with a 90 day warranty, we advised this is not something offered by the manufacturer and you agreed you would take it up with the selling dealer so you authorized a second repair and we performed it at no cost to you as a courtesy. When you returned a third time we advised that the tire had to be replaced and reiterated that there was no warranty because our findings were a result of outside influence. This time you authorized a tire replacement and paid for the repair. At your last visit you spoke with our sales team because you were requesting to have your car replaced with a brand new one, management advised that based on your concerns you would have to return to the selling dealer and work with them for a resolution. We understand that you live locally to our dealership and we are happy to service your vehicle but you would have to return to the selling dealer to take advantage of any warranties or incentives that they promised you outside of your manufacturers warranty. xxxxxxxx!!! I came in after 5pm on Wednesday 1/25 with the flat tire. Got a plug. 5:55am 1/26 tire is flat and I am back by around 8:30. So i don’t know who taught you how to tell time but that’s not days later. That’s not even 24 hours later. Got another plug. 6pm 1/26. TIRE FLAT AGAIN. So obviously it still wasn’t holding air but. Retow in 1/26 back to towne Toyota for a new tire. Obviously I needed the tire Wednesday and had you have done a proper job evaluating the compromised tire you would have seen that but instead you chose to risk my life and my car. The second and the third visit I got a text saying my car was green for inspection but the first time no inspection, no text… this could have been avoided. Your service xxxxx also admitting they couldn’t figure out why the tire wasn’t holding air. And now I’m fighting Ron and sons to repair my damaged car. I already have to get leukemia so I didn’t need this fight too. Thanks for being so reckless with me and my vehicle. So keep lying… just more for me to report to my case worker at the brand center I worked for jack thompson for 4 years. So much more professional than towne Toyota… you don’t even put down curtesy foot pads. I’ve never heard of a dealership being so inconsiderate of peoples property

We are very sorry that we weren't able to further assist you at this time. Unfortunately the terms of your extended warranty require certain conditions to be present before authorizing repairs. Maintenance items are not covered under extended warranty either. If you are willing to authorize the steps needed to take to further address your concerns or if the condition worsens please contact us to bring the vehicle back in, we are more than willing to take the necessary steps to address your concerns.

Part of the warranty needs to be diagnosing the problem which sometimes involves more than getting a code from the vehicle for an intermittent problem. But Towne Toyota service suggests driving an unsafe vehicle until it gets worse or pay for service that is not suggested by the manufacturer for another 40K miles. The dealership witnessed the issue with the transmission first hand, which is all that I thought should be necessary to get some resolution. If they think pumping the fluid out of the transmission and putting it back in will help solve this problem then I would think that would be part of diagnosing the problem.
