UNTRUSTWORTHY – UNSAFE – COMPANY PREYS UPON UNSUSPECTING PUB LIC SERVANTS AND OTHERS I purchased a 2008 Ford F-150 from Towne Auto Brokers in October 2018 and initially received good service. On the way home (after the truck warmed up), it began to shudder and shake at 40-50 mph. I reported the problem immediately and took it to my own mechanic. I live about three hours away and I wanted to get an independent assessment. While there, my mechanic did an overall inspection and found the vehicle should have never passed the Virginia safety inspection (which it did the day I purchased the vehicle). There were several major safety violations. I quickly reported this to the dealer and was assured that the owner, Amine Bensallem, wanted to make the issue right. He called once, but has not returned my calls for more than three weeks now. In the meantime, I still have not received my title or tags. Because I live in NoVA, the truck must also pass emissions inspection. So I took the truck to another mechanic for that inspection and a second-opinion on the initial safety questions. The truck cannot pass the emissions inspection and therefore cannot be titled or tagged in Virginia. So now I have a $12,000 paperweight in my driveway and Amine Bensallem and his team at Towne Auto Brokers refuse to provide me with ANY solutions. It’s now been more than a month and Amine Bensallem REFUSES to contact me to make this situation right. His staff sold me AN UNSAFE truck which has the potential to cause a catastrophic, life-ending accident for me or someone else and AMINE BENSALLEM REFUSES TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT. His staff keep promising that he wants to make things right which is A BALD-FACED LIE. Read the many other negative reviews on Towne Auto Brokers. This company has a LONGSTANDING REPUTATION OF FRAUD. As a federal disaster response official who responds to disasters all over the country, and as a volunteer firefighter in NoVA, I’ve seen my share of FRAUDSTERS and I thought I could spot one.
