Horrible experience getting Tony Honda to honor a 6 year warranty purchased for $3,500. Use of the purchased vehicle was lost for months, with no loaner provided. Hundreds of dollars spent on rental cars. warranty purchased for $3,500. Use of the purchased vehicle was lost for months, with no loaner provided. Hundreds of dollars spent on rental cars. Vehicle is currently not running, still no loaner offered, still incurring rental costs. Noticed all 5 star reviews on this page. Wondering if this negative post will be visible. More

I am so thrilled with my 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid that I purchased at Tony Honda! I am a resident of Maui. On January 2, a truck flew into my lane of traffic hitting me head on and totaling my Honda HR-V. I purchased at Tony Honda! I am a resident of Maui. On January 2, a truck flew into my lane of traffic hitting me head on and totaling my Honda HR-V. I walked away with no injuries and this only added to my confidence in the Honda brand. But there are so few available on Maui, and prices here are inflated. I felt apprehensive about traveling to Oahu to purchase a car. I was worried that the sales people would sense my desperation and take advantage. That did not happen! David Diaz was kind, professional and so amazingly helpful. After discussing several cars that were available (Tony Honda has a great selection of quality lightly used cars!) I booked my flight. David had my top three CR-Vs ready for me to view and test drive. He was very knowledgable and friendly. Although I am a skeptic by nature, I found him to be honest and trustworthy. Also the cars were all clean, guaranteed by Honda's thorough certification program, and fairly priced. David, Vic and Curtis all made the process of purchasing and shipping my car to Maui easy and pleasant. I am so pleased with my car and with the Aloha from Tony Honda. More

Happy New Year! I wanted to take a moment to highlight one of your outstanding Tony Honda employees, Iven Cunanan. I first met Iven in October when I was interested I wanted to take a moment to highlight one of your outstanding Tony Honda employees, Iven Cunanan. I first met Iven in October when I was interested in buying a NEW Honda HRV. I live on the Big Island, and while he is on Oahu, the sales process could not have been more seamless. He considered my needs and arranged for my old car (a Honda Accord) to be shipped from the Big Island to Oahu the same day my new car arrived in Kawaihae. It was a wonderful experience and one that I am grateful for. Fast forward to Friday. I was driving down the Kawaihae Road, and after turning the rear windshield defroster on, the back window spontaneously shattered. I immediately pulled over to the side of the road and set about calling Tony Honda Service in Kona after driving back home to place duct tape and a garbage bag over the rear window. I left messages for them and called multiple times, and unfortunately, I did not receive a response. Not knowing what to do, I began calling auto body dealers around the island, hoping someone might help me. As a last resort, I called Iven. I know that this is beyond his area of responsibility. Still, he answered my call immediately and heard my concerns, and after a few calls, I finally received a call back from Tony Honda in Kona, who advised me to come in right away. The rear windshield shattering is a known issue with Honda for the 2023 HRV and one they are now addressing. However, none of it would have been possible if it wasn't for Iven's responsive and caring manner in which he made phone calls on my behalf to rectify the situation. As usual, I went to my periodic service check @ Tony Honda. So grateful that my Service Advisor, Sean Kikuchi, fit me into his tight Saturday schedule within days of calling. Normally if I call the se Honda. So grateful that my Service Advisor, Sean Kikuchi, fit me into his tight Saturday schedule within days of calling. Normally if I call the service appointment desk, they'll fit me into the next available slot, which could be a couple weeks out. I waited at the site and the job was done in about 40 minutes. Sean takes care of me and gives me his honest opinion on what needs to be checked/maintained at that visit. It's such a GREAT relief knowing that I have a Service Advisor whom I can trust that will not take advantage of me. Not only is he ALWAYS helpful, but he listens and pays full attention to my concerns; plus, he's super nice and friendly! I will never see any other Service Advisor as long as he is working. Mahalo Sean! You are the best! More

I recently purchased a new Honda CRV on 8/10/24 and my sales person Andrew Lee was just excellent. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and very patient. I noticed every time I started my new car the radio wouldn’t turn on for about 5-10 minutes and it finally stopped having any sound at all while on. I contacted my sales person Andrew Lee and without hesitation he had my radio repaired in a very timely manner. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from him!!! More

I’ve had multiple issues: 1. This dealer will post your car online for their area specific site and bait and switch the price when you walk in the door. Wesley who sold me the vehicle messed up on a lot of my information. This led to my tags being shipped to the wrong address and lost for months. I did not receive an owners manual and then when I finally got one, they gave me the wrong year. 3. Within months of owning this vehicle, the battery died and I was stranded. Used pre owned certification….what a scam. 4. The service department does not answer or respond to voicemails, emails or multiple attempts to reach them if you are not already working on the vehicle. This place is a testament to lazy corrupt workers who keep passing the buck without any accountability. 5. I asked about recalls and they said I didn’t have any open recalls when I could plainly see online that there was a list which had not been fulfilled. This is the reason that NO ONE TRUSTS CAR DEALERS. Do not trust this dealer. Do not purchase your car here. I went from an online quote of $19,000 to $27,000…. More
