He wants nothing but the best for you & he will take as much time as you need with no pressure! He has not only sold us 1 car but as of this past weekend purchase(s), it will be our 6th car from him. Yes, we had 2 purchases this past weekend from him. We were there to buy our son a car but as we were looking, a car caught my husbands eye. So, long story short we purchased 2 new cars. The paperwork signing went quickly & smoothly thanks to the Finance Specialist Ray Ramirez. He made it clear on what we were signing & had us in/out in no time! Great Team Work! And that is why we will continue to do business Ron Tonkin Mazda!! More

I was looking for used 2014 or 2015 Mazda 3's, and had a couple more places to check out after visiting here. I called the dealership to set up an appointment to check out a 2015, and was paired with Daniel, who was terrific. He was very patient and answered all of my questions, several of which I know I asked multiple times, but that didn't matter to him. Car salesmen generally thrive on making you feel dumb or insulting, anything to make you uncomfortable puts you in a situation where you're not in control. Daniel didn't do any of that. Ordinarily, I wouldn't have even entertained the idea of having the "what do we have to do to sell this car before you leave" conversation, but because of how much I quickly trusted and liked Daniel, I went ahead and obliged. I explained that the number I was throwing out was admittedly low, even unrealistically low, but that was only because I still intended to check out a few other places, and it'd take quite a bombshell to persuade me to not even LOOK at my other options. He completely understood, but his manager, Reza, wanted to talk to me because of the number I gave them. Reza was terrible from the beginning. Asking someone what it would take to buy a car without even checking out their options is an aggressive question. I totally get why all salesmen do that, but it's a question that by nature merits an aggressive answer. Often the answer (like in my case) isn't realistic because the question isn't either. As much as I tried to explain to Reza that this was the motivation toward responding as I did, he continued to "educate me" as to the background/cost of the car. It was about as cliche used car salesman as it gets. I told them I'd be back after I checked out the last two cars on my list, but driving away, I realized I was so offended that I didn't return. Needless to say, I purchased elsewhere, and later thought about how easy it likely would have been to find a deal with Daniel after checking out other options (we were actually within $400 on my first visit!)... but Reza interfered and botched the deal. I think everyone is sick of dealing with people like Reza, the quintessential used car salesman. My advice: shop around. There are actually salesmen around town that will treat you like a person; you shouldn't give this jerk your business. More
Deceptive web advertising SOOO shady. Saw a used Mazda CX-7 on their website that is very clearly advertised as "Mazda Certified Pre-owned". Get through the whole buying proces SOOO shady. Saw a used Mazda CX-7 on their website that is very clearly advertised as "Mazda Certified Pre-owned". Get through the whole buying process, signing papers and everything and then asked to sign a paper that says it's being sold with no warranty. I object and says it factory certified and quote the terms from the website (12mo/12,000 miles limited and 7ys/100,000 miles limited powertrain), only to be told that it's not certified at all!!! WHAT?!? I mentioned multiple times throughout the buying process that the certification was something that was a big deciding factor for me and NO ONE EVER mentioned that it wasn't certified. Seems everyone from the salesmen to the managers, to the finance department is comfortable outright lying to their customers just to get a sale. When I called the next day to get clarification about the website ad the sales manager at the Mazda store (Shawn Clancy) said that whenever a used car comes in that fits the parameters of certification, it goes up on the website as certified whether it is or not!!! That's so freaking SHADY! He also said that he salesman that we were working with was told that the car wasn't certified, which was NEVER mentioned to us until the very end. I will NEVER deal with Tonkin again! Everyone we dealt with was deceptive from start to finish. More
Horrible Customer Service Horrible customer service. Came here looking to lease a new Mazda 3 sedan. Salesman John tricked me into signing a lease contract. Told him I am still Horrible customer service. Came here looking to lease a new Mazda 3 sedan. Salesman John tricked me into signing a lease contract. Told him I am still shopping around and not sure if I have enough down payment. He said there's only 1 red sedan left and I can put it on hold by giving him a check for down payment that they will hold and sign some finance papers. One of my buddy that came with me asked if when we go home and decide we can't come up with the money, can we cancel after signing the papers (which wasn't explained to us at all). John said, and I quote "as long as we don't have your money and you don't have our car, there is no deal going through." So I signed the papers, then 2 days later I realized I cannot make the down payment at this time, so I called John back and he lied saying he never made a statement about being about to cancel the papers and that it's legally binding and it is considered sold. He let me talked to his manager Reza, who went off on me (talked over me and won't give me a chance to speak) saying basically it's my words against his salesman, that I can lawyer up if I want to, and he will cash the contract. This type of customer service is unacceptable. Basically they all called me a liar, and they will say whatever they want to make a sell. And what kind of manager yells at a customer? Please take your business elsewhere if you want to be treated right as a customer. More
Do not even bother with these clowns!! I tried to purchase a used car that was on their lot for an extended period of time. I am from another state so I called and accepted their asking price. They r purchase a used car that was on their lot for an extended period of time. I am from another state so I called and accepted their asking price. They responded saying that they could not hold the vehicle and that "they were losing $ on the deal" so unless I could come in that day and purchase it, they would send it to auction. The next day on a Sunday, a friend of mine drove from Seattle (Kirkland) (2.5 hrs) to test drive the car. He gave me the thumbs up. I then tried to get ahold of sales manager, who was repeatedly "unavailable". No calls back, just silence. I tried the salesman, same thing... Silence. I then get a text, not a call back just a lame text saying that the car has been sold. Funny, how they would not take a deposit from my friend, it sits on the lot for months and in a few hours it is sold. Gee whiz, what a coincidence.... BTW ~ when they ask about how you are going to purchase the car, just fib and say that you are going finance it (if you intend on paying cash). They make $500 on the loan and since I was going to pay cash, I was a less attractive buyer. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CLOWNS!!!! More
