Found a truck I was interested in online at car gurus.com. Called up and spoke to Bob Bender. Drove down from Washington that weekend to their Hillsboro dealership. Truck was in great shape. Drove the truck found tow/haul switch to be bad. They fixed it. I purchased the truck and on the way home the alternator died. I made it to Longview Wa where I swapped it out in the auto parts store parking lot. Called Bob to touch base about the ordeal. They cut me a check for the Alternator!! thank you Bob and company!! Because of that, he was able to give us very honest opinion on the van we are seriously considering. We identified a few items that needs to be fixed and he had the team worked on it right the way. I went to this dealership to trade-in my 2004 Honda Odyssey. My initial goal was just to sell the van and then go on shopping. I went back home and did a research on the Jeep and compared with other SUVs on the market and decided to make a purchase. There was a good deal from NW Jeep and when I went back to Dick's again with the only intention of selling the van and not purchase from them, Bart was able show me a jeep with same features, bells and whistles as the one available at the other dealership. Not only that he worked out a very good deal on the trade-in but also on the sale price of the new Grand Cherokee Overland. It was the end of the business day and they worked extra hard to close it and help me get on my way. I'm very pleased with the overall buying experience at Dick's Chrysler. This was not at all the experience I had with my last used vehicle purchase, this has turned me around on buying a used vehicle from a car lot. We also appreciated Finance Manager Brian Helsing because he listened to our concerns about past awful experiences with Extended Warranty companies and located a less restrictive option for us. However, we were disappointed that the company missed easy customer dissatisfiers such as -- when we picked the car up it had bird droppings on it (from the day before) and no one had thought about giving it a quick rinse to remove the bird droppings and the gas tank was completely 'empty' so we were unable to drive the car home and had to stop at gas station one block away. And the front office forgot to give us our loan paperwork copies when we picked up the car so it had to be mailed to us. These are small details but prevented us from giving Dick's Country all '5s' in the survey. More
