I suggest everybody avoid this place like the plague. They charged my wife $507 to diagnose a problem with her Chevy that they'd already charged her over $300 to fix and she was told to return the car a They charged my wife $507 to diagnose a problem with her Chevy that they'd already charged her over $300 to fix and she was told to return the car at another time because they were swamped with work, not sure but they likely blamed it on Covid. When she did get the car back in they charged her $507 to diagnose other problems, they claimed were wrong. She didn't ask them to do anything but complete the job they had started months earlier. I went with her to pick up her car and they refused to let up have the car until I paid them the $507.00 diagnostics fee. She never asked them to diagnose or do anything except to finish the earlier job they started. I paid the $507.00 free so we could get her car back from these crooks. I'm protesting the fee at this time with my credit card company. DON'T GO HERE UNLESS YOU LIKE TO GET RIPPED OFF. I've never been to any car dealer as crooked as this place is. More

Service department is dishonest. They said the engine air filter needs changed and the truck say it is at 70%. They said the cabin air filter needed changed even though it was replace They said the engine air filter needs changed and the truck say it is at 70%. They said the cabin air filter needed changed even though it was replaced 4000 miles ago and is clean. They wanted to schedule a 30k service for $869.99 dollars and when I checked the manuals for there are no special inspections due. Be care and be knowledgeable if you use this dealership. More
I took my car into Tonkin last year for what my mechanic told me was a recall on my fuel system. My car constantly smelled like gas. After they checked it out, they said they were unable to find that it was told me was a recall on my fuel system. My car constantly smelled like gas. After they checked it out, they said they were unable to find that it was due to a recall, but could fix it for a large sum of money. I wasn't able to afford that so I took my car and went home. I called Chevrolet and was told to take it another dealership. I finally did so last Saturday. The mechanics there found the issue and it was the recall issue. My car's now getting fixed and it's not costing me a dime. I feel like these guys were just trying to take advantage of me!! More
Refused to work on an oil consumption issue even though the truck was in warranty still. Ron was polite and consise but Doug (the service manager) basically told me off and said my truck was only worth 20 the truck was in warranty still. I believe in GMC as a quality company but the service I have recieved from this dealership has been lacking. Also they worked on a tractioncontrol issue I had and i believe the dealership caused this when they changed the oil thr first time i was there. I think they knocked a wheel sensor out and it had to be replaced by myself bedause they would not admitt it was them. Even though it happened immediatly after my first service with Bruce chev. More
