When I first spoke with Tony on the phone, he was very helpful. I pulled into the dealership and he was waiting on me and seemed very friendly. We drove the Elantra limited and it was very nice, but had helpful. I pulled into the dealership and he was waiting on me and seemed very friendly. We drove the Elantra limited and it was very nice, but had a lot of road noise and no spare tire. I came back a couple of days later with my mother to see if her wheelchair would fit and to see if she would be comfortable riding in the car. It did and she was, but even she commented on the loud road noise. Tony said that maybe it was the tires. After having driven other cars I had narrowe my search to just two and called Tony to tell him. My hesitation with the Elantra was the lack of a spare tire and the road noise. The other dealership had offered to let me drive their car overnight to see if I liked it and I asked if they would do the same. Tony said no and then had his mangager call me back. The manager said that they would agree to do a borrowed car agreement if I would come back in to run numbers with them. I agreed and went after work. It was close to 8 when I got there and Tony had a different Limited with a different type of tires. We drove the car and sure enough it was much quieter. I asked if I could get those tires on the one I was considering buying and Tony told me no. When we looked at the numbers, he tried to tell me that my car was basically scrap metal and not worth anything as a trade and that my credit wasn't good and didn't show that I had ever financed a car so I would have a high interest rate. My credit wasn't bad and I have financed and paid off a car and was able to show them on my credit report where it showed this fact. Then they came back with some numbers showing a payment of $281 and immediately got up saying "oops" and returned with one showing $290. The supposed reason for the increase was the addition of a spare tire. Keep in mind that this was for 60 month financing. Spare tires are not $540! (I called a different dealership and was told that a spare tire would only be $40-50 and that it would not be a problem to change the tires.) When I balked at the interest rate, the high price for the spare tire, and the lack of customer service in not changing the tires, I was told: "You've been here 3 times. People don't do that. I know you want this car." What arrogance! Yes, I do want the car--from another dealership that understands customer service. (Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the borrowed car agreement was a ploy to get me back in. When I asked about it, I was told "We can't do that! We would have let you borrow it for maybe and hour but it's so late now...you can't have it over night." If you don't like being lied to, then don't come here.) More
We originally didn't have a great experience but the dealership went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied with our purchase. I am very happy with the car that we have chosen and dealership went above and beyond to ensure that we were completely satisfied with our purchase. I am very happy with the car that we have chosen and will be Hyundai owners for life, especially as our kids enter the driving age. More
Went to the dealership looking at a used Ford Fusion or a Nissan Altima. I saw they had these cars at a great price and I went in for a test drive. The cars seemed OK but when I went in for financing the wan Nissan Altima. I saw they had these cars at a great price and I went in for a test drive. The cars seemed OK but when I went in for financing the wanted to charge me 15.99 percent interest. I qualified for 6.35 from my bank and purchased a brand new Corolla at zero percent. I asked my friend who works for a bank how the hell my interest rate could be so high. He told me it is a common practice for dealers to lower the price of cars but raise the APR to compensate for the price of the car. When the told me they would give me 15.99 percent and they were doing me a favor. DO NOT TRUST TOWN AND COUNTRY they are a very shady place to go. I bought another corolla and got zero percent again.
