We show up that afternoon and start looking at car for about 20 minutes and no one comes to greet us. Finally I call to have someone come out. It was Yassin that came out and asked if we want to test drive. He then asked for us to come inside and told him let's look inside car and drive then we will see if car is right. He goes in to get keys and 10 minutes later comes out and said someone put deposit on car daybefore but he was off and did not know. Conveniently though he tried to steer us into other options. Said no thanks and left. Then on way home get a call from someone else asking if we were still interested in that car. Told him it's not for sale acordingb to Yassin and he knew nothing about it. Said he would check and get back to us. Never did. The car is still listed on the website for sale. Beware of bait vehicles and pricing for bait and switch tactics. More
Cristian and Shemar helped us tremendously while figuring out which VW to bring home as our new car! The first person that greeted us almost immediately was Cristian. He made us feel incredibly comfortabl out which VW to bring home as our new car! The first person that greeted us almost immediately was Cristian. He made us feel incredibly comfortable and worked so fast to get us cars to test drive. There was absolutely no pressure with him and we didn’t feel like we were with someone that “just wanted to sell us something.”He would constantly check on us and see if we were okay and needed anything as he would bring out different models for us to test out. Cristian stayed after closing to make sure that we were all set up, gave us his contact info so that we can still ask questions even after we left the lot. If you walk into this dealership, please look for him! Shemar also worked tirelessly with such kindness and laughter throughout the process. He and Christian were a great team and helped us get the most affordable deal in our price range. Though we wanted a certain model, Shemar suggested we look at another and that was the exact one that we ended up driving home the same day. Even while we were deciding, Shemar allowed us to take it off the lot for a few hours. We went back and forth a little, but by the end, we came to a priced that worked out best for our family. We are so grateful for their kindness, hard work, and dedication to making us feel heard and seen throughout the day. More

After buying a car from this VW of Union, it took 18 weeks for me to untangle the mistakes made by the dealership. Every aspect of this process was done incorrectly - sales, financing, registration, war weeks for me to untangle the mistakes made by the dealership. Every aspect of this process was done incorrectly - sales, financing, registration, warrantee, mechanics. (I am not exaggerating…literally every one of these items was done wrong.) It was so bad that I briefly thought there was something illegal happening. It started when I agreed to buy a car with 37K miles, only for them to CHANGE THE WEBSITE (yes they actually changed the milage online) to 87K miles and blamed me, “You must be confused.” (The car had 37K after all.) That was the first of many messages I received as I encountered multiple problems. Each response from the dealership was that I was not understanding correctly or that I was being impatient and the problem will be automatically fixed. None of these issues would be resolved if I had not managed the situation. The only motivation they had to correct the issues was to “respond to him and he can leave us alone,” someone wrote to their colleague, with me in cc. This is the level of service and attitude that one can expect from this dealership. There are certainly other places to buy a car where a buyer does not have to manage every aspect of the process. It was like having a job! Good luck! More
Bought a 2022 last year Volkswagen, Tiguan the worse car I ever bought. Took it back several times complaining and they keep saying nothing is wrong. The car is a lemon… I ever bought. Took it back several times complaining and they keep saying nothing is wrong. The car is a lemon… More
I went here today to buy a car for my brother and I never felt at ease getting a car. The people were so nice and answered all my questions and were so responsive especially when I called after and had so ma felt at ease getting a car. The people were so nice and answered all my questions and were so responsive especially when I called after and had so many questions. The process was quick and I’m glad I didn’t have to go to other places to look around. My sales people Moe and MJ did all the paperwork for me and even walked me around the service center to show me where I can bring my car for anything in the future. More
GREEDY, GREEDY, GREEDY SALES TEAM I went to VW of Union to buy a 2023 GTI. The MSRP is $35,000 and my trade-in value was $7,600 - $9,400 (per Edmunds link provided on the VW website). The offer they gave m to buy a 2023 GTI. The MSRP is $35,000 and my trade-in value was $7,600 - $9,400 (per Edmunds link provided on the VW website). The offer they gave me was to pay $36,000, including my trade-in! They essentially wanted me to pay $1,000 over MSRP AND give them my trade-in for free! I don’t know if they treated me like this because I am a woman, or if they treat all their customers with contempt. I refused to do business with them and asked for my car keys back at least five times but they kept ignoring my request, keeping me trapped in the office. I finally had to loudly demand my car keys back so that I could get out of there. I have never seen such audacity and contempt from a car dealer. I will take my money elsewhere. More
Service center receipt stated no leak found. When I showed them the leak. I got the car back with the leak after 2 days being the shop. A 20k maintenance was done on 4/26 by VW of Union, N When I showed them the leak. I got the car back with the leak after 2 days being the shop. A 20k maintenance was done on 4/26 by VW of Union, NJ. After a couple days the low oil light came on. I checked the oil and it was low. I discovered oil leaking under the car that also seeped behind the front passenger wheel. I scheduled an appointment at VW of Union NJ on 5/11/23. I stated the car was leaking oil and could possibly be from the 20k maintenance that was done. Long story short, the advisor stated the service center could not detect the leak and I could pick up the car end of day or have them keep it to check further for the oil leak. So I agreed to opt for having the service center keep the car until the leak was fixed. The following day, I didn’t receive a call from the advisor. So I called and spoke to a VW Rep. She stated the advisor was off and that the service center stated the car was ready for pick up. I did not check the VW Service Center receipt until I arrived home. As I read through the receipt I noticed the Service Center stated “Customer stated oil leak. No oil leak detected.” So I tried calling VW Union NJ for an explanation. No one picked up my calls. I’m highly disappointed that they would send the car back to me when clearly there was a visible leak. I find it odd that the advisor I spoke to the initial day I dropped off the car told me that the service center can figure out the oil leak. The car is under warranty so I don’t understand why would they not throughly check the vehicle? I’m taking this to higher ups. And definitely scoring this experience and survey low. I won’t let this slide. I’ve heard way too many complaints with this Service Center so this needs to be addressed. Do better VW Union NJ. More
