I have a 2018 F-150 (XLT FX4 OffRoad Edition) with the 3. 5 L eco-boost and tow package. My vehicle needed new Cam Phasers, chains, parts, and a timing adjustment; because it had a rattle on startup, and it h 5 L eco-boost and tow package. My vehicle needed new Cam Phasers, chains, parts, and a timing adjustment; because it had a rattle on startup, and it had developed a loud knocking in the engine valves. I had bought my truck from another dealership two counties away, but they wouldn’t even return my calls when I tried to schedule service. I also tried contacting FORD corporate about the cam phasers, because FORD had issued a partial recall regarding this issue, but they were very unhelpful. I was so frustrated at that point, and worried about damaging my Truck that I had bought new and had taken very good care of. I felt like FORD had sold me Lemon Cam-Phasers, and no-one even cared. That was until my Dad told me about Short Redman Ford. I went to see them and that was where I first met Ronnie. He was the only person I had dealt with that I felt actually cared about me, and getting the job done right. I don’t know if there are others like Ronnie anywhere else in the FORD family, but he alone restored my faith in an American Company who cares for its customers. FORD could learn a lot from Ronnie. I pray GOD bless him, because FORD sure needs a whole lot more of what he’s got in his heart. I had to live with my problem for months; but now that the work is done my Truck is running better than ever. Every time I start it up, it’s like music to my ears. We know better than to take a car dealers word, but the sales manager Charlie led us to believe repairs for our vehicle shipped across country, which arrived damaged, would be covered. Damage was not disclosed during purchase, in any pics or videos we received. Shipping Bill of Lading sent to us afterward clearly show the undisclosed damage at the time of transport. They covered an initial repair estimate + a bit over for our troubles, falsely led us to believe they'd keep their word regarding the final bill possibly finding additional damage. Despite having had conversations/emails regarding that very possibility, when it happened, we were told they never agreed to repair the vehicle. Yes, we were in the wrong for trusting someone who seemed so honest. Expensive lesson, please learn from our stupid mistake and go elsewhere. More
