On April 19, 2025, my father-in-law Frank M_____ purchased a new Chevy Trax from salesman Hector Garcia at Tim Moran Chevy in Hemet Ca. . After reviewing his paperwork, it appears that he was seriou purchased a new Chevy Trax from salesman Hector Garcia at Tim Moran Chevy in Hemet Ca. . After reviewing his paperwork, it appears that he was seriously taken advantage of. Mr. M____ is an 88-year-old man in poor health and the salesman loaded him up with every upsell options he could think of. SWAT theft protection. $2595.00 This option was clearly not explained. The features of this program require an Apple or Android phone app. He doesn't own one. He has a google phone with very limited features. The product has no value to him. ARWS touchscreen protection $995.00 I must guess what that is and he has no idea. I think it may be a screen protector for his infotainment system and while there may be some value to that $995.00 is ridiculous. He also could not explain what this was. AGWS VCS $3865.00 I do understand the value of an extended warranty, but it is unconscionable. This coverage will not expire till he is 96 years old. At his age it's obvious that the 3-year 36000 factor warranty would be more than enough. AGWS Carbon Ceramic $1495.00 . Was this applied before the purchase or does it still need to be done? AGWS Tire and Wheel $1250.00 Frank M----- is a retired veteran on a fixed income and health issues. His impaired cognitive abilities are obvious. He also did not think he was buying these options because he didn't actually sign anything. It was all done with Doc-u sign on a tablet. He purchased a Chevy Trax for $26,365.00 by the time the salesman had finished he was at $39,443.31 before tax and license. With a $19,0000 down payment on a $26,365.00 car he now has a payment of $313.00 till he reach's 96 years old. This is one of the most dishonest and despicable examples of elder abuse I ever heard of. The Car plus tax and license and fees is all he intended to purchase. The dealership has not responded to me or requests from the Better Business Bureau. Chevy makes a great car but Tim Moran is not place to purchase one. More
