The next day we receive a call from Dave Spiers saying he found us the vehicle we wanted and sure enough he was able to get us into the Acadia we wanted. Donna was very helpful over the phone and even drove the minivan to Albuquerque so my wife and I could test drive it. She was kind, attentive to questions, and helpful. They were unable or unwilling to make a decent offer on our trade in, but we were able to agree on a decent price in the lower third of fair market value range, so we opted not to trade in. During the negotiations, Donna used a tactic that I did not appreciate, which was to feign not understanding what I meant when I negotiated the “out the door” price. She kept trying to add TTL to that price. It was frustrating to have to repeatedly explain that I meant to negotiate the final price, knowing she had to have already known what I meant. We purchased the van, and as soon as we got home an noticed the power lock on one side was broken. So we notified the dealership, and they took the van back, ordered the new part, and fixed it free of charge. While having to wait a week for it was unfortunate, I was very pleased with the customer service and how quickly they agreed to fix it without charging me. Overall, I never expected to enjoy the negotiation part of the process, but outside of that it was a very pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return to them for future purchases, assuming they have a vehicle I want. More
