Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Tidelands Ford in Pawleys Island for service. My 2020 F-150, with 105,000 miles, was in excellent condition aside from a transmission issue—an issue Ford is known t in Pawleys Island for service. My 2020 F-150, with 105,000 miles, was in excellent condition aside from a transmission issue—an issue Ford is known to address with the 10-speed transmission. I brought the truck in for a warranty-covered transmission replacement, and the dealership kept the vehicle for six months. Unfortunately, the original issue was not resolved, and I noticed several new concerns afterward, including engine problems, malfunctioning door locks, unexpected A/C activation, loud noises, and a burning smell. At one point, I was asked to test-drive the vehicle and later discovered that the engine had no oil in it. This raised serious concerns about the thoroughness and safety of the service performed. While the service manager was courteous and professional and willing to assist, I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously at the management/owner level, and the issues with my vehicle were not addressed to my satisfaction. Because Ford dealerships are independently owned and operated, I understood that responsibility for resolving service problems rests with the dealership itself and Tidelands owner Josh Bauer refused to continue service on my vehicle to correct the matter while rudely dismissing my concerns. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing, and I would urge anyone considering service at this location to proceed with caution. More
We have been having our vehicles serviced here fir the last ten years and have been extremely happy. Our first buying experience here has been wonderful. Our salesperson Chandler was extremely knowledgeab last ten years and have been extremely happy. Our first buying experience here has been wonderful. Our salesperson Chandler was extremely knowledgeable about all of the new vehicles and we decided on a 25 Explorer. The process went well and the sales manager BD was extremely helpful as well.the delivery was great, vehicle clean and Chandler went through the features. The communication with them was great before i purchased the vehicle, however once purchased and have had the car for a couple of months i had a question so i emailed once and called and left two messages w the vehicle, however once purchased and have had the car for a couple of months i had a question so i emailed once and called and left two messages with no response. So don't tell people before they leave the lot with a vehicle to call if they need anything because you don't even help. My question was simple but i guess since you already got my money why bother. So yeah, customer service was good until it wasn't. More
