Every time I took the car in to have it serviced I left with something new wrong. For one example the car did not make any noise when I took it in and when I left it was so loud like they took the something off the motor. I seriously think they took parts off my car to pay to fix other problems!!! Stay away from New Wave Auto!! They are also very rude and disrespectful. I have never felt so bad about a business in my life! I just pray they get shut down and they don't scam you as well! They also just take money out of your account whenever they please! They don't stick to the due date you agreed on. More
The experience at New Wave Auto When I purchased a vehicle a pt cruiser 2008 I didn't think I was going to get a car but I did so when all the paper work was done and I drove away i When I purchased a vehicle a pt cruiser 2008 I didn't think I was going to get a car but I did so when all the paper work was done and I drove away i didn't even leave the parking lot and the engine light came on and was flashing I then went back in and they said they would look at it well what they had said was that it needed the spark plugs, wires and coil replaced caused by fouled plug cyl 2,the person that worked on my car was Paul Roeps also he worked on the passengers seat side. My daughter was on the pone when the manager was yelling at me,what I have asked him was why can't you return calls when the customer calls and that is when he said listen i don't drop and do when I ask that I have lots to do and then he said we don't have to do this you can leave the car and forget the car deal i then said i can't believe you said that. I know that I would ne er tell anyone to get a car from New Wave Auto as they are not very nice at doing there work. They are not about the customers after the sales and that is wrong. More
I had been without a car for almost 2 years when I moved down here to Florida. I went to a dealership in Tampa and wasn't really treated well there, and it just was a waste of my time. A friend I decided to down here to Florida. I went to a dealership in Tampa and wasn't really treated well there, and it just was a waste of my time. A friend I decided to go to Thrifty, since we were referred by someone we go to school with. So we went there, looked around, and the sales people were very friendly. I was put with Charlie. Mind you, I don't know much about cars, but he was very helpful, and we checked out my financing and everything before even checking out cars. We drove a couple around, and found that the cars just weren't in the right price range. Then, we came across the Hyundai that I'd been eying the whole time, and realize it was in my price range. Charlie was so very patient and easy to work with. My car buying experience was amazing, and I will keep going back to them if I ever need a new car. Everytime I go back for anything, I am always greeted with a smile. It's a great feeling! Thank you, Thrifty, for making my first car buying experience amazing!! More

And then he asked if I would like to car salesman was very rude to me and a friend after our test drive. I told him the issue incountered while out. And then he asked if I would like to go and run the numbers. I told him I would love to after he fixes those issues. He proceeded to storm off and take the vehicle back to the service area and then when he returned told me that I didn't know what I was speaking about and walked away.. Poor salesmanship. Guy was a complete jerk to put it nicely More

Charlie is an excellent person. We dealt with him before and never any problems. Charlie went into detail about everything on the sale and treated us like family. Felt like we were talking with a friend not and never any problems. Charlie went into detail about everything on the sale and treated us like family. *BUYER BEWARE – THEY ARE LIARS! – NO, A THOUSAND TIMES, NO!!! Initially, our experience was good. We liked our salesman Richard. Thrifty Auto Sales posted on their website $11,990 for the “Cube” that we NO!!! Initially, our experience was good. We liked our salesman Richard. Thrifty Auto Sales posted on their website $11,990 for the “Cube” that we were interested in, however, when we arrived at the “Thrifty” dealership it was over $12,990. The salesman seemed surprised at the price difference. We were upset after having driven quite some distance. We agreed on their price of the “Cube” and what they would give us for a trade in on our vehicle. We told the salesman that we had financing and he suggested that we use his finance company. The salesman put it in writing…the “OUT THE DOOR” price of $8,193.64 and that included transfer of plates, sales tax and ALL fees. We told him we had to take the dogs that were with us home and that we would give him a call. We called him within 30 minutes and asked if he could give us a better price. The salesman checked with his manager and said he could not take any off the price of the car but could give us $500.00 more for our trade-in. GREAT!! Bringing the price “OUT THE DOOR” to $7,693.64. We agreed and told him we had a deal! He gave us his finance company’s info and we applied through them. We wanted to see if they would have a better rate than we had already found. The next morning we spoke to our salesman and were told that we were approved and to come get “Our Car”. He told us what the payments would be. We asked a few questions about the financing….What the percentage rate was?…Could we pay it off without penalties?...Did the rate go up should we be late with a payment? …Would he please email us a copy of the loan so we could review it before we signed?... What was the exact amount that we would be financing? Then everything changed!!! The $7,693.64 was now over $8,400. We spoke with Mike the manager and he said there were now “extra fees” including a $499.00 “dealer fee” and over $200.00 for loan insurance fee or???? The manager was NOT WILLING TO HONOR the deal that we had IN WRITING, the one that he had approved the very day before, the one that included ALL FEES. He could have cared less if the deal went through and was very rude besides! After being treated so abusively, we went online to see what others had to say about “Thrifty”. Not surprising several others had the same experience. I only hope others will read this and avoid “Thrifty” like the plague!! They are LIARS and totally unprofessional. It is people like these that give used car dealers the reputation they have. I tried sending a copy of this to our salesman but the email address listed on the back of his business card, did not exsist!!! Oh, there’s a surprise! One big sham after the other! We also found out in the meantime that Capital One, the finance company that we were going to go with in the first place, would NOT deal with “Thrifty” but only their “recommended” dealers. It does not surprise me at all that “Thrifty” Auto Sales was NOT on their list of dealers to buy from. More

He ran our credit yesterday, and he called us today t ***BUYER BEWARE – THEY ARE LIARS!*** Initially, our experience was good. We liked the salesman. He ran our credit yesterday, and he called us today to tell us that our credit was good and that our income was great. It wasn't until it came to us agreeing on a price that everything changed. THE UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNFAIR MANAGER (MIKE) IS THE PROBLEM!! The sticker price on the SUV that we wanted was over $9,000; however, the price on-line was listed under $8,000. The salesman seemed surprised at the $7,995 price that Thrifty Auto Sales posted on their website. He stated the on-line price was only to generate interest (or something along those lines – I cannot recall his exact wording). They didn't seem to want to honor their on-line price, even though we would've been justified to negotiate them down by at least $1,000 less because the tires needed to be replaced ASAP, which would cost about $1,000, and the vehicle needed some cosmetic repairs that would most likely cost over $1,000. We didn't even get the chance to discuss those issues, as the salesman had a difficult time getting his manager to give us a fair price. They wanted to charge us $350 per month for 48 months plus $1,000 cash down, which would make the total cost of the vehicle $17,800. The Kelley Blue Book price for the SUV was listed as $8,260. However, the CarFax website for this specific vehicle stated it was worth $300 less than the blue book value due to the information available for this vehicle on their report. The manager came out of his cubicle to show us the N.A.D.A. Black Book price of $11,500 (that must have been if the SUV was in excellent condition, but it was in good or fair condition). He continued by telling us that the blue book value meant nothing to them. What was most upsetting to me was the manager's attitude! He was completely unreasonable, raised his voice to us, and talked down to us when he changed his story and mentioned that we have bad credit. How can that be when they already did the credit check and told us that our credit was good? I responded by saying that if they want to make us pay twice as much as the on-line price, then maybe we should go somewhere else. At that point, the manager threw his papers in the air and yelled to us "Well, go then!" Obviously, the on-line price is a downright lie. Dealing with deceitful car salesmen is neither new nor surprising to me, although the manager's unprofessional outburst was shocking and completely unacceptable! After we came home, not understanding why someone would be so hateful to us for trying to have them honor their on-line price, we read many reviews from various websites by several people saying that Mike (the manager) has an anger management issue. Many people had worse stories than ours. A lot of reviews mentioned how Mike yelled and cussed at them for simply asking a question. Hopefully, others will read these negative reviews and be saved from being scammed by paying twice as much than a car is worth and be spared from Manager Mike’s verbal abuse. More
My husband and I went to see Mike Taylor with a question rearding documentation fees and transfer of license plates on a car we purchased from his dealership. Not only did he get physically violent, but he rearding documentation fees and transfer of license plates on a car we purchased from his dealership. Not only did he get physically violent, but he called the local police to have us removed from the premses when we only wanted to ask a question. This man is out of control, has big-time anger management issues. He was in both my husband's and my faces within 1 inch of us shouting, threatening, and violently pointing his finger at our eyes!!! I would NEVER recommend that anyone use this company for anything at all!!! More
