My check engine light came on, and my a/c stopped working as well on so I took my car to get a diagnostic test. After charging me $398.00 for two diagnostic tests ( one for check engine light, one fo working as well on so I took my car to get a diagnostic test. After charging me $398.00 for two diagnostic tests ( one for check engine light, one for a/c) I was then given an estimate of $398.00 for 2 hours labor to replace map sensor, 2 cam shaft solenoids for engine light($254 for parts), and two shrader valves for a/c. $557 for 2.8 hours labor($21.37 for parts). I said no then went to auto parts store and bought the solenoids and sensors changed them myself ($146.00 for parts), it only took me 45 minutes to change solenoids and map sensor. But my check engine light is still on, so there diagnostic was wrong. So what did I pay for? Can I get a refund for my diagnostic? So if your car is not covered by warranty I recommend you go anywhere else for a diagnostic. More
