I was referred to the dealer by Costco and the sale was handled by a brand new unsupervised salesperson unacquainted with the Costco pricing system. We were not informed that the pricing was not the Costco handled by a brand new unsupervised salesperson unacquainted with the Costco pricing system. We were not informed that the pricing was not the Costco price and a service contract was added to the price. We were able to cancel the service agreement and were promised calls from a sales manager which never happened despite numerous calls and messages. Very disappointing sale and very poor customer support. More
-They didn’t warn me I had a nail in my tire or offer to remove it. I realized a few days after my service they never gave me the inspection report and when I asked for it, it mentioned for the first time remove it. I asked if I should leave it in or have it removed and was not give a reply. I had to get it removed and my tire patched somewhere else. --Today (Nov. 22, 2021) they refused to give me my last free oil change that they the week before said I would get when I spoke to a service advisor when scheduling my appointment. Today they mentioned for the first time that my 24 months of free service only included 2 oil changes and they would not honor what they told me the week before on the phone. They admitted when they called me 6 months ago (May 2021) saying I needed my oil changed (said then I needed it every six months even though my car said it wasn’t due to Oct. 2021) that I didn’t actually need it changed in May so I wasted what ended up being my last free oil change when I didn’t need one yet. --Twice I brought my car in to have the navigation system fixed. The first time they told me they fixed it but obviously hadn’t even test driven it to test it out since it didn’t work on my way home and this time told me they couldn’t fix it. --They previously told me they rotated my tires and then during a later visit when I asked for another tire rotation they said they didn’t rotate my tires since the tires aren’s supposed to be rotated for my car. --When I bought my car they said the navigation system would start working withing 24 hours, when it didn’t I had to keep calling for help, and then they had me drive back to the dealership to get it activated in person only to find out the dealership hadn’t bothered to request the activation code they needed to activate my navigation system and which took 24 hours to get so they I had wasted my time driving there. More
The service department is corrupt. They tacked on a $600 calibration charge a week later on the invoice after charging $400 to inspect the car. How is that possible when my bumper is not even on the car. Service Advisor was Darryl. I was planning on going to them for all services but not anymore. Please be careful! More

Dealer is very shady. They sent the wrong part, agreed to have it sent back and a refund issues. Then I called and emailed many times to get a hold of Oscar and he never responded, even after he agreed to re have it sent back and a refund issues. Then I called and emailed many times to get a hold of Oscar and he never responded, even after he agreed to refund me for the wrong part and blamed the mix up on the parts department. Now, after getting Toyota Corp involved, they are breaking their promise, saying the part never came from their dealership, even though it did! So beware of this shady dealer. I’ll be calling Toyota Corp again and filing another complaint and also disputing the charge with my bank if they don’t not refund me within the next 24 hours. More

The following day as I was scheduling service at the dealership I realized there was oil on the floor. So apparently I now have a timing cover leak. They have to drop the engine to do it - 14 hour job. I'm obviously not paying for this but this begs the following questions: - They did inspect the car, saw nothing and fluid and oil leaks magically happened overnight - They didn't inspect the car and thus sold me a car under a false promise - They did inspect the car, saw the fluids were low and that the timing cover was leaking and decided to still clear the car and hope that no one would at least see it until the warranty expires. That means they also sold me a car under a false promise. On top of it, they didn't mention their APR special for financing (0.99%) although I qualified for it. Tried calling several times. They either hang up or make me wait for ages. Will escalate to Toyota Corp. More

I recently visited Thousand Oaks Toyota on a whim to see if I could find the right car for me at a reduced payment. I researched via internet and saw the Venza AWD hybrid. I submitted a few questions and was contacted by Brian Lamb. I finally met with him and he fully explained my options. I had a lease I wanted to turn in. Brian is very knowledgeable about his products! He explained everything about the Venza and how it worked. Brian got me the payments I was comfortable with in the end and I drove home in a new 2021 Toyota Venza. I live my new car. Thank you Brian for being a professional, so nice working with you on this deal. More
