Buying a new vehicle is an experience I never look forward to. We had been to several dealers, and my enthusiasm for buying was quickly diminishing. Then we stopped in at Thompsons in Springfield, Mo., and met Brandon Martz. As he approached my wife and myself, I thought "here we go again". I couldn't have been more wrong! I was interested in buying an SRX, and explained why I had been disappointed elsewhere. Brandon took the time to explain all of the differences in the different models, let us test drive a couple, then gave us some literature to look over. We went back a couple of days later, test drove the vehicle I thought was the right one, and found it. Even the negotiations on price and trade-in were low key, not at all stressful. The evening we picked the vehicl up, Brandon spent a great deal of time going over all of the vehicles features, explaining everything in detail until it finally sunk in. Never once did he become annoyed with us, taking all the time we needed. Being over 65, I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my time, and this is the first time I have ever enjoyed dealing with a salesman. The dealership had the best price in the area on the vehicle I purchased. The day I came to test drive some vehicles, Vince came right out to help me, even after mentioning he was not scheduled to be a vehicle I purchased. I felt like the dealing on the car was very straight forward as it was competitively priced to begin with. Vince was the right mix of being clear that he wanted my business, but also not pressuring me. He was friendly and courteous. I also had good experience with getting the lowest rate through the financing department. The paperwork process was a little slow. I believe this part could have been expedited a bit since they had my information ahead of time and knew I was coming in to sign the paperwork well ahead of time. The people were all very friendly and I would absolutely purchase another vehicle at Thompson. More
