This was my third time dealing with Thomas Nissan's service department, three strikes and they are OUT! My first experience was when I was 9 months pregnant. I purchased my vehicle from another Nissan service department, three strikes and they are OUT! My first experience was when I was 9 months pregnant. I purchased my vehicle from another Nissan dealership because they had the vehicle we wanted, Thomas did not. We noticed we did not receive a key for our locking lugs a few months after we purchased the vehicle and our brakes needed to be changed, the dealership that we purchased from was about an hour away from our home and I was 9 months pregnant. Thomas Nissan refused to remove the locking lugs for me. I didn't ask for a new key or new lugs I was willing to purchase new lugs...they refused. Spoke to the general manager and he asked me why he should do work on a vehicle that I did not purchase from him for free. Nice customer service! My second experience was with 2 recalls. They put my VIN number in the computer and said yes we have the parts go ahead and bring your vehicle in. So 8 hours without my vehicle only to find out that they did NOT have all the parts and I had to bring it back and not have a vehicle for another day. My husband and I both work full time jobs and cannot be without a vehicle for an entire day, and they do not offer loaner vehicles. This last time really takes the cake though. My check engine light was on so I took my vehicle to another shop to see if they could fix it. They said there was a problem with the EVAP system and our best bet was the dealership. Unfortunately I went back to Thomas, they had my vehicle for a whole day and called me to tell me nothing was wrong with it. I told them when I dropped the car off that the other place told me it was the EVAP system, so when I was told there was nothing wrong I said my vehicle will not pass emissions with this problem. The response I received was "Oh, you are trying to pass emissions? Well let me tell the technician and see what he says." REALLY??? So back to square one when I told them was the problem was to begin with. They kept my vehicle yet another day to drive it around and see if they could diagnose the problem. Imagine my frustration when they called to say there was a valve problem relating to the EVAP system. So they fix the problem but the computer did not reset itself and I have to take my vehicle home and bring it back a couple days later so they can see if it clears. A family member had to pick up my vehicle because I was now out of town. I get home and go to put my children in the vehicle only to find someone's fast food bag sitting in my backseat and an extra 100 miles on my car. What kind of testing requires ONE HUNDRED MILES? I am completely disgusted with their service! I will drive an hour next time to get quality service. More
Usually,buying a car is a monumental hassle. There was none of this at Thomas Nissan. Kevin worked tirelessly to get me the vehicle I wanted. He clearly explained options, prices and fuel economy ( a big deal with me) on every vehicle I was interested in. It was not the high-pressure zone I have experienced with other dealerships. Everyone, and I mean, everyone, from the GM, Mr. Gors, to the salesman, Mr. Bombeck, to Buddy, in the finance office was the epitome of professionalism, courtesy and efficiency. I love my new Altima. Well done, Thomas Nissan. More
