This dealer used a finance bait and switch tactic. When I negotiated a deal for a 2007 Honda Element the dealer said they needed to run a background credit check on me. I explained I had already done that and had arrangements with a bank, no need, they even said it was Illinois State Law which is completely FALSE! All they wanted is for me to use Honda Finance which I simply refused. I had a blank check from Capital One and a fax from the bank stating it was guranteed. Their finance person said we don't accept so called site drafts from banks. I was floored! I am going to report them to the Illinois States Attorney's office for this tactic. More
We decided on a Honda early on and did some research as to which dealership to go to. We found several dealerships around our house and through this website found out that they were death traps and had som to which dealership to go to. The only dealership that came across as a respectable place of bussiness was Honda of Joliet. We drove an hour each way to order the car, then to see it when it came in, and then to buy it. That alone should say something about this dealership. And I will go back there to get my car serviced. A place that makes you feel this confident about buying a car cannot do anything other than to make you feel confident that your car will be serviced properly as well. This place was respectfull and LARRY (our salesman) treated us with the upmost respect and profesionalism. We went in there and were not forced to buy anything we didn't want. We said no to things and were not asked repeatedly or told that we needed things we did not. No was fine and we came in and left with exactly what we wanted, a new Honda LX. LARRY is THE MAN. Not to say that other people working there are not as good, but LARRY is who you should go to. We went in there and decided that we would order a Honda LX. The car arrived when it was promised, brand spanking new with only 2 miles on it. The price was as promised (low). When we ordered my car everything was explained and we knew exactly what we were paying for. Larry was extremeley professional and patient since we had our own loan from our bank coming through and had to wait an additional week on the bank to post the check. Once we bought the car and filled out all the paperwork and we got into it he explained some major features of the car and some of the cool features. We got our plates on the spot too. It wasn't as though we signed the papers and somone pulled the car from out back and told us bye. Larry was very profesional. I recomend Larry and Honda of Joliet to anyone looking for a car. Their prices are great and I feel very confident that I made the righ choice by buying my car from there. More
The sales manager, Jason, went out of his way to show us pricing for the used car we wanted to purchase. The entire experience was comfortable and painless. After going to Ed Napleton Honda in Oak Lawn and being completely disgusted, Honda of Joliet proved to us how purchasing a car could be an enjoyable experience. He spent a ton of time with us showing us every feature of our new Odessey. Very professional, respectful and honest. Great salesperson, great business manager and an unusually good car buying experience. It was worth a long drive to get there. More
