Thanks aimee122 for sharing your experience. Your explanation of the events of that Saturday evening does not fall on deaf ears. This definitely illustrates that we aren’t perfect although we try to find ways every day to get closer. We do make mistakes; we have had disagreements, especially when it comes to something as difficult for the customer as car shopping. We also try to make the test drive experience as safe as possible, for the customer as well as ourselves. The sales force takes rides with people every day and in order to minimize danger to all we have instructed our team to try and leave the features and buttons alone until they are back and off the road, making sure to eliminate all distractions. We try very hard to treat everyone here with the utmost respect, honesty and dignity. We are a family owned and oriented dealership that embraces the principle that growth and change are based on both positive and negative opportunities. We have a policy where an employee is subject to three verbal or written warnings within a year’s time to warrant being fired. We will not fire someone for making a mistake that doesn’t involve theft, endangerment or injury to another person. We definitely take a persons’ track record into account when assessing any situation like this, and most folks out there wouldn’t want to work for an establishment with a policy of shoot first and ask questions later mentality. It is unfortunate that there was truly no way offered for us to make amends short of terminating Oren, a long-term and well regarded employee. We believe that the situation was definitely not handled correctly, that at some point the best deal was to make no deal at all. Unfortunately this has presented a very stressful situation for all of those involved, especially those directly affected by the disagreement. Please accept our continued apologies and understand that we are humans on our side of the desk too.
