We were greeted at the door by Richie holding the door open for us and making us feel welcome. He accompanied us on a test drive of a civic EX and explained the various functions on the car very well. Upo open for us and making us feel welcome. Upon returning to the showroom, Richie wrote up the paperwork for the car and explained all the figures. We were impressed with the price, but weren't ready to commit and told him we (my husband & I) would discuss it and return later. There was no pressure by Richie to buy then. He said sure and just to call him when we were ready and he would make sure the car was ready to go. We returned the next day and Richie had the car ready, and quickly and efficiently did all the necessary paperwork, explained each sheet prior to requesting my signature and then we dealt with Suzanne to do the financial paperwork. She was very personable and efficient. After we finished all the paperwork, Richie escorted us to our car and spent over 1/2 hour with us explaining how everything worked on the car with a goal of making me feel like a professional by the time I drove off the lot. He was absolutely wonderful! Totally professional, very friendly, extremely knowledgable and never once made us feel pressured to buy! He is everything a great salesman should be. The salesperson was very friendly and knowledgeable about the type of vehicle that I was looking for. He took the time to try and find out what type of vehicle I had in mind, and what kind of features that were available on the Honda Models. I got a chance to test drive a new Honda, and see how technology has changed the way customers get to pick their own choice of colors that were available, for the cars, the choice and type of interior seats, the adjustment of the driver seat, as well as the selection of the way I can listen to music, the safety features are outstanding on the Honda models, and some of the options could be overwhelming to learn, had it not been for the salesperson who knew how to make a person feel comfortable about working and learning about every option available. I have owned a Honda for the past 6 years, and am now the proud owner of a new Honda. More
After 6 months of deciding and preparing to purchase a vehicle, I visited Honda of Joliet and was greeted by Josh Tornabeni. I was specifically interested in the Accord and Odyssey models. I wanted the vehicle, I visited Honda of Joliet and was greeted by Josh Tornabeni. I was specifically interested in the Accord and Odyssey models. I wanted the Osyssey for practical reasons such as kids, roominess, storage, comfort, etc., but liked the Accord for mileage, price, sportiness, and down sizing reasons. As luck would have it, I was not ready to purchase yet and had to wait approximately 6 months. During that time, Josh was very patient, understanding, and did not pressure me. He called a few times within that time frame to keep his presence on my mind and ensure me that when I was ready, he was the guy. This past week, I went back to Honda of Joliet and was approached by 2 different salesmen, but I told them I was waiting for Josh. The second one even paged Josh for me. Still undecided, we went through both cars, drove each, and he explained features, pros/cons of both. As a woman, I was still on the fence. Finally, Josh said, "Get what YOU want and what will make YOU happy". I decided on the Odyssey; again no pressure either way. I was also undecided about color and he made the effort to call around and get the color I preferred. The next day, on his day off, he drove to the IL/WI border with his southern accent in tow to pick up my car for me. We then met at his dealership that evening to finalize the deal. Josh is quite a handful and fun personality to deal with. We took our sarcastic, yet comedic shots at one another with a grain of salt. Bottom line....laughter, ease of dealing and mutual loyalty was what I appreciated most. I dread car shopping, waiting, haggling, and all that goes with purchasing a car. I still don't care for it but Josh made the experience humorous, adventurous, and a pleasure to close. I think the price I received was decent, but I am truly happy with the purchase, salesman, and a quality Honda vehicle that I will own and enjoy for years. I plan on taking several long road trips and it will come in handy!! Since it was a miserable night of rain and blowing leaves, he told me to bring it back and have it re-detailed as to shine like it should. I will probably not be in the market to buy another car for 10-12 years, but when I am, I may very well return to Honda of Joliet and Josh. My next car may just be the Accord if I can get Josh to step up to plate, perform, and be on his game as he was this week. My family and I have made multiple purchases from Honda of Joliet in the last year. My dad was the first to make a purchase and got a 2011 Honda CRV. After initially visiting Thomas Nissan of Joliet, we did not have much hope for the friendliness of car sales associates. Upon arriving at Honda of Joliet, our fears were quickly dismissed. The entire staff was friendly, smiling, and everyone greeted us genuinely. We spoke with Casey Krakowski and he was extremely helpful in showing us the vehicles, very knowledgeable of the products and features, and clearly had a passion for what he was doing. These qualities jumped out at us immediately after being treated so poorly at Thomas Nissan. When we sat down to talk about financing, I explained that we weren't interested in the price haggling and went on to tell him how a sales associate at Thomas Nissan insisted the price he had written down was the best "deal" he could make. After reviewing this sales person's math, it was clear he was trying to swindle us $3,000 extra on a car. We were extremely offended by this Thomas Nissan sales person and refuse to return to that dealership to this day. Casey made the financing options clear and simple. Needless to say, we quickly closed the deal on the 2011 CRV. Less than a year later, my mom was involved in a collision which totaled her 1998 Neon, a car we had cared for and loved for 14 years. The collision left us with one VERY CLEAR solution; it was time to pay Mr. Krakowski a visit. Once again, we received the VIP treatment. Everyone smiled and greeted us every which way we turned. My mom walked out very satisfied with a 2012 Honda Civic. The financing was once again quick and painless which meant we were in and out with all of our questions answered, a smile on our faces, and keys in hand. My mom was so proud of her new car that it caused her to brag about it to friends and family. Luckily, this opened the door for my cousin to realize her car was in bad shape and she expressed to us that she wanted to explore the options to purchase a new vehicle. My cousin is from out of town and made a point to come to Honda of Joliet because of the good impression Honda of Joliet left us with. Casey spent hours with my undecided cousin. They did multiple test drives, went over many financing options, and overall Casey spent many hours working with her to find a car she was happy with and financing she was comfortable with. My cousin left with a 2012 CRV that day. Finally with another unfortunate run of bad luck, another collision left us with a second totaled vehicle in less than 6 months. This time I was the victim but I was sure of one thing: I was making a trip to Honda of Joliet. With the same warmth, I was greeted by the employees who were looking more and more like an extended family to me. Of course I spoke with our favorite car salesperson, Casey Krakowski. Before I even walked in, I already had peace of mind knowing I was not going to walk into a power struggle and have to haggle with anyone to be able to walk out with the car I wanted. Casey showed me a Civic and we went on a test drive. When we returned to the dealership he showed me the financing options available and explained EVERYTHING very thoroughly to me. Although I was the translator for both of my parent's purchases, this was MY first brand new car. Needless to say, I walked out ecstatic with a 2012 Civic. We couldn't be happier with the experiences my parents, cousin, and I have had with each and every visit to Honda of Joliet. Casey really is a TREASURE to Honda of Joliet. He is a knowledgeable consultant and truly managed to make buying our new Hondas a great experience. I am glad there is someone we can put our trust in without worrying about getting screwed over. After visiting Thomas Nissan, we had lost our hope of having a pleasant experience shopping for a car and Honda of Joliet, specifically Casey Krakowsli, restored our faith that shopping for a car can be fun and easy. Me and my mother had been shopping around on the market for two used cars for a little while before we finally stumbled upon Honda of Joliet. Knowing that Honda's were one of the ideal makes that we were l for two used cars for a little while before we finally stumbled upon Honda of Joliet. Knowing that Honda's were one of the ideal makes that we were looking for, we decided to give them a chance. We were welcomed by sales specialist Josh Tornabeni who asked for specifics on exactly what we had in mind including price range. Unlike most Josh took our price range into one of the most important factors when assisting us in our search and was more than willing to work with us. He constantly adjusted to help find us cars that fit our needs perfectly. And he ultimately helped us make a decision on two cars after a long search. The purchasing process was extremely easy, and him along with the rest of the employees made us feel 100 percent comfortable with our purchase. Along with making sure that every question and concern we had during our time there was approached with the utmost concern and honesty which was refreshing from going from dealership to dealership.
