David was great. Although, during check out, cash was no longer permitted as a form of payment, which seems ridiculous. Service department is horrible. Car was in service department over 5 months for the same exact exact problem they already repaired 4 times! After having my vehicle in their shop for Car was in service department over 5 months for the same exact exact problem they already repaired 4 times! After having my vehicle in their shop for 5 long months went to pick up my car, when I arrived my car wouldn’t even star! Which means it had been sitting and no one test drove before calling me to me to pick up. Test drive my car and still wasn’t driving correctly so I left it at dealership. Get a call about week later to pick up my car again! Test drive proceed to get get on highway and my car is smoking! Exit highway to safe location wait for tow truck to be towed back to dealership! This is after 5 months of my car being their shop! Tow truck driver arrives and noticed my caps were not on under hood which was causing my car to smoke. Get a call about a week later to pick up my car. Test drive notice something weird leave car again there again. Get a call about 3 days later to pick up car. Test drive everything seems fine. Well guess what after having my vehicle less than 3 months it’s back at the service department in a different location with ford for the same problem. Oh there’s a leak too that was overlooked and should have been noticed when car was diagnosed. Customer service was horrible never received updates within the duration of my car being there, I always had to call. Paul is rude. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a dealership! Hostile environment. Makes me second guess if I want to remain a ford customer More
San Leandro Ford service plan and service are a complete rip off! I purchased a service plan with my new truck from San Leandro Ford and took my vehicle in twice a year for maintenance using my plan. On rip off! I purchased a service plan with my new truck from San Leandro Ford and took my vehicle in twice a year for maintenance using my plan. On several occasions items that were checked off their checklist of items serviced were not actually done. The very first item on the checklist is “filled windshield wiper fluid”. Each and every time the fluid was not filled. The last time it was bone dry which I knew before hand and wanted to see if they noticed and of course they did not even though it was the very first item in the checklist. You can only imagine what else was not completed from their list of maintenance items that I paid for were not serviced such as oil change and filter, other fluids, etc. Rotation of tires, I marked my tire knowing which side it came from and as expected when I picked up my vehicle that tire was in the exact same position. I prepaid for my maintenance so it wasn’t like these were free. Also, the entire time over the years of service I am told that I have X amount of services left in my plan. I was assured multiple times I “will get what I paid for”. I recently went in for scheduled service with the expectation that I had 2 services remaining just to show up in the morning to be told that I did have 2 left but my plan had expired! How does something you paid for expire??? I have low mileage in my vehicle and of course it was due for 50,000 service and I was also told at my last service that they will be doing my brakes at my next service as part of my plan. Now I am left without 2 major maintenance items that I was assured were covered. I was told I can still have my truck worked on but is going to cost me so I took back my keys and drove off and away from this scam of a dealership. I am not the only one that has had these same issues! Do not buy or service your vehicle at San Leandro Ford. More
Billy Severs did not properly diagnose a vehicle that was brought to him. He simply took it for a test drive, put it on a lift and listened to a noise. With no further investigation, he determined that the r brought to him. He simply took it for a test drive, put it on a lift and listened to a noise. With no further investigation, he determined that the remedy was a $3400+ repair. When he was asked to show the diagnostics to back up his estimate, he provided a summary that clearly proves he did nothing but drive the vehicle and hoist it up to listen to it. No actual diagnostic was done... quite an expensive guess!! I do not have faith in this dealership and question their integrity. People come to the Ford dealership expecting quality service that they can trust and rely on. Billy didn't even know if this expensive remedy was really the right solution. Side note, there is a review on cars.com about Billy Severs being amazing and giving great advice.... Please note the person that wrote that review was in fact, William Severs... Hmmm.. of course Billy Severs thinks that way about himself! How arrogant! BEWARE! Take your vehicle to a locally owned shop instead, where you are more likely going to deal with an honest person. Do not bring your vehicle here for a diagnostic of any kind. They will charge you 250.00 on a guess. Brought my vehicle in for lower body noise. Which I thought was somewhere around the drive shaft. All t kind. They will charge you 250.00 on a guess. Brought my vehicle in for lower body noise. Which I thought was somewhere around the drive shaft. All they did was listen to a noise by driving it around the block and say the whole transfer case needed to be changed. Then wrote on the paperwork it took 1.7 hours to do that. And that justifies the charge. To further justify their claims they said they put it on a lift and heard the noise. But the transfer case doesn't make a noise in park or idol with my vehicle. The only way to truly diagnose a transfer case is with oil sample from transfer case or transmission. This Ford dealership ( Service) department is a bunch of crooks. You'll see if you don't listen to this warning. Told the GM about rectifying the situation but of course they are a close nit mafia. Now I have to bring it up Ford corporate. Terrible how these places are still out there. More
