Melissa made the car buying experience very easy and pleasant. The Forester we were there to test drive was warmed up, freshly washed and ready to go when we got there. I never felt any pressure to make pleasant. The Forester we were there to test drive was warmed up, freshly washed and ready to go when we got there. I never felt any pressure to make a decision about whether or not to buy it which just made it all that much easier and the deal was great. I'm happy to say it's sitting in my garage now and I love it. More
The whole experience, the no haggling good price made me feel at ease. Thanks Autobarn for allowing us to own a top notch vehicle. Our car which we named, Silvia has been everything we hoped for and more. W feel at ease. Thanks Autobarn for allowing us to own a top notch vehicle. Our experience at Countryside was wonderful! Excellent sales staff and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Melissa was a joy to work with and made the entire process easy and fun. We were dreading sales staff and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. Melissa was a joy to work with and made the entire process easy and fun. We were dreading dealing with the typical car salesman - as we had bad experiences in the past with a Ford dealership, pushy Reps, hidden price increases, etc. Countryside instead was straight forward and easy to work with. We will definitely be recommending them. More
Terrific new car buying experience! I was there for 3 hours the 1st day, test driving and getting information on options and financial possibilities. Came back the next day asking to see a different car hours the 1st day, test driving and getting information on options and financial possibilities. Came back the next day asking to see a different car and was there another 3 hours with more test driving and ultimately purchasing. Everyone was very familiar with the cars, explained all features and helped me hook up the Bluetooth. At no time did I feel pressured for a decision or for additional options. I can highly recommend this place. More
My mom had been driving her car for 10yrs and really needed a new vehicle. However, she putt it off for several months and as things go, it came down to a single Saturday and about 8 hours to make this needed a new vehicle. However, she putt it off for several months and as things go, it came down to a single Saturday and about 8 hours to make this happen for her. (She is not from the area and needed to drive home on Sunday). Anyway, We had done some research and narrowed the candidates to 4 vehicle models made by 3 different auto manufactures. But, being on such an insane time schedule, there was no way we could drive to numerous dealers to find a vehicle with the needed options without paying a premium price. So I decided to send out an electronic quote request for the vehicles of interest, which listed the options that were important and the purchase time table to all dealerships within 50 miles of my Chicago area home that would carry the 4 models she was interested in... Within minutes my email inbox was filled with 20+ responses from the various dealerships. As we waded through the quotes and compared the information provided we were quickly able to narrow things down to our first choice. Melissa Missbach, the Internet Sales Manager at Autobarn was fantastic! Melissa had provided us with all the information and details in her email response that we needed in order to make a dealership selection, and an informed purchase. Pricing quoted was very competitive with no "surprises" once we arrived at the dealership. Melissa had even lined up several vehicles at the same great pricing for mom to chose from. It was a pleasure buying a car from her and best of all, mom is very pleased with her new vehicle! More
After deciding that we wanted an Outback we started to research dealers. The Autobarn had very positive reviews so we checked out their internet site. We were impressed by their pricing so we called Mel research dealers. The Autobarn had very positive reviews so we checked out their internet site. We were impressed by their pricing so we called Melissa the Internet Manager and made a last minute decision to test drive a car. When we got to the dealership we asked for Melissa. She came out to greet us, was very friendly and asked if we were familar with the new Outback. We told here no and she took us around the corner to show us the model on display. Melissa knows the vehicle and answered all our questions. After the test drive I told Melissa that if the numbers were right we would buy the car. She presented us with a great price, no hassles, no games. It was near closing on saturday and we had a 16 month old with us who was starting to fuss. Melissa and everyone there did their best to make the purchase quick and smooth. The financing went smooth and the sales pitch for the extended warranty was not high pressure and the presentation was 5 minutes, not 40 as I have read elsewhere. Again, everyone was trying to be quick, considerate of the fact that we had a fussy baby while at the same time making sure everything was correct. I would defintely purchase another car from this dealer and melissa. More
Let me start off by saying that this was my first new car purchase based soley on internet research and internet dealer contacts. Melissa, the internet sales manager, was phenonmenal! She always responde purchase based soley on internet research and internet dealer contacts. Melissa, the internet sales manager, was phenonmenal! She always responded to me emails promptly...most of the time within 15-20 minutes. She got me the best price I could find for the vehicle I was looking for and was able to get the entire deal done with taxes, registration fees etc etc before I had arrived at the dealership. I traveled 900 miles to purchase this vehicle and one of the big reasons for that was the way I was treated from start to finish. Thank you again Melissa for everything! I love the new STI! I'll send pictures whenever I add something new to the car lol! More
This dealership does have a number of positive attributes - they have a very inviting facility, a friendly sales staff, a great selection, competitive prices, and they seemed competent as I went through my e - they have a very inviting facility, a friendly sales staff, a great selection, competitive prices, and they seemed competent as I went through my experience of buying a used car. They provided me with most of the necessary paperwork, and I say most because as I first went to register the car I found that I had not received the actual title, and upon calling I found it to be in the mail. I was disappointed that they didn't make this clear from the beginning - this lack of communication has really inconvenienced me. Second, and more importantly, the used car I bought had a breakdown 30 miles after I drove it off the lot. I called and talked to my salesperson (Adam) and he essentially gave me no answer. I then called and talked to the Sales Manager, and the best they could do for me was let me know that this happens from time to time, and that's why you buy a warranty. He let me know that it's common to buy a used car and put money into it right away. I didn't think that the autobarn was in the business of selling cars that needed money put into it right away. I'm disappointed that they didn't check the car to the point where it would survive 30 highway miles after I drove it home, and I'm disappointed they haven't gone out of their way in the name of customer service. It might seem that all the positives of a place like this would outweigh this negative, but to me this is a very big negative, and if an organization is willing to treat the small guy like this, and overlook something as important as taking care of the customer, I've lost confidence in this dealership. Be wary of buying a used car from this dealership. More
Paul is the universe's gift to the car shopping world. As a dealer he was on the money and helpful. Paul gave us an extremely competitive price (beating another dealer's "lowest possible" price) and had As a dealer he was on the money and helpful. Paul gave us an extremely competitive price (beating another dealer's "lowest possible" price) and had just about all the paperwork done from our phone calls alone. My wife was happy and when she's happy, then damn it, my life is easy. The financing went well, very quickly for that matter, except for one thing and that was the HARD push for the warranty explanation and sales pitch. This is my 3rd Subaru. I'm freakin' almost 40and when I say I'm not interested what I really mean is don't freakin lecture me about how this is federal law and you HAVE to explain every last detail. That's 40 minutes of my life I will never get back. There should be a poster or sign saying somewhere that there is a federal requirement to explain the warranties being sold and that it may take 30-40 minutes. I spoke with other dealerships and many of my friends who work at various dealerships (non-subaru) and I was told there is no requirement. Other then that I will be buying my next Subaru (hopefully an STi) from Paul again! Hope this helps and consider yourself warned! More
Had a very pleasant buying experience. Melissa was a pleasure to work with and very quick to follow up with me on my many questions. There were no hidden charges or fees, and the price we paid for the pleasure to work with and very quick to follow up with me on my many questions. There were no hidden charges or fees, and the price we paid for the new car was as we agreed upon via email prior to setting foot in the dealership. The only "negatives" throughout the buying process was waiting for the finance guy and having to listen to his salespitch for the additional warranties which we expressly stated we were not interested in purchasing. He stated that it was company policy to review all of the additional warranty options with us, even if we explicitly stated we were not interested and didn't want to hear it. Overall, a very easy car buying experience. Melissa was great. More
