They’ve had my car 3 times before hopefully figuring out the issue. They’ve had my car for 1.5 weeks and still haven’t gotten it in to be looked at amd don’t expect to now until they’ve had it 2 weeks. Very More

Kathleen, we are very sorry the diagnosis and repair took so long for your vehicle. Tenvoorde Ford has 3 certified transmission technicians that occasionally get a week or so backed up with work. At the time your vehicle needed to be diagnosed, those technicians were trying to complete the repairs from previous customers along with diagnosing new issues and your vehicle went in the queue in the order we got it. Once we were able to determine the issues of your transmission we needed to order parts. Getting parts is the biggest challenge in the automotive industry today. The amount of time it took to receive your parts was unacceptable and we let Ford know as much. Every vehicle manufacturer in the country is having parts fulfillment issues. These issues are very frustrating for us and we understand how frustrating it is for the customer. Again, we are very sorry for the delays in getting your vehicle back to you quickly and the experiences you have had with this vehicle. We apologize for not completing the repair correctly the first time. Our technicians are Ford certified to inspect electrical issues. One of the first diagnosis procedures is to check if everything is plugged in starting with the fuse then following the wires to the horn. The technician found a wire harness connected to the horn set not seated correctly or “not plugged in”. The technician seated the wire harness securely then tested the horn multiple times and since it was working, he felt the repair was completed. Unfortunately, the horn did not work when you picked it up and that confirmed the problem was intermittent. Intermittent problems are the most difficult to diagnose because the technician needs the problem to occur for them so they can properly diagnose the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and we are glad we were able to ultimately get the horn replaced on your new Escape.
