Buyer Beware!I bought a 2021 Explorer courtesy vehicle Buyer Beware! I bought a 2021 Explorer courtesy vehicle with around 2k miles on it in January 2021. I made an appointment ahead of time to go to Te Buyer Beware! I bought a 2021 Explorer courtesy vehicle with around 2k miles on it in January 2021. I made an appointment ahead of time to go to Tenvoorde and look at two 2021 courtesy Explorers. I drove from Minneapolis to St. Cloud on a Saturday morning and when I arrived was introduced to salesman, Travis. I told him I was there to look at the two Explorers, with the black one being my first choice. He disappears for a while and comes back and says he can't find the black Explorer but the grey one is outside. I go out to look at the grey Explorer. I was surprised to find it extremely dirty inside and out. Driven on a gravel road and not washed and mud on door sills and carpet. I told them ahead of time I was coming to specifically look at the two courtesy Explorers and when I get there they can't find one and the other one they didn't even bother cleaning up. I guess they weren't really interested in selling me an Explorer. I bought the grey Explorer as they never did find the black one. Salesman brings me out to the car after all the paperwork was done and I'm ready to leave. I look at it and it looks like they ran it through the carwash and that was it. Still dirty and interior dirty as well. At this point I just wanted to leave. So, I ask the salesman for the second key fob and he says he can't find it and will mail it to me. Two weeks pass and I don't hear a thing from them about my key fob. I contact the salesman and he says they can't find it and that I can "stop by" and they will make me a new one. Remember, I live 65 miles away and so I tell him I won't be coming to St. Cloud to get a second key and that I want to go to a dealership near me. He says he'll have his sales manager call me. I never received a call. So, I call the sales manager and he agrees that I can go to a local dealer by me and they will reimburse me for the expense. Meanwhile I get the license tabs and the registration says "Vehicle Use Type: Commercial," which is wrong. It should say "Personal." So, I call the salesman on that and he tells me it's not their fault and that I need to go to the DMV to fix it. Really? I'm the customer! I don't care who's fault it is, I just bought a new vehicle from them and they should take care of any issues. Finally, I talk to the title clerk and she agrees to look into it after giving me attitude and acting like I was putting her out. Due to all these issues, I emailed the general manager about my experience at Tenvoorde and never got a response back from him. Throughout all these issues, the only person from Tenvoorde to ever call or email me back was the title clerk. If I hadn't ever reached out I would still be without a second key fob and the registration would still be wrong. To date, no-one has ever bothered to follow up with me to make sure everything was taken care of. Extremely poor customer service. Once the sale is done, you'll never hear from them. I've bought five new Fords and many late model used Fords in my lifetime from multiple dealerships and have never had an issue or been treated poorly, until now. I will not be going back to Tenvoorde for my next car purchase. More
