Recently purchased a new Escape from Ted Britt. Found the overall experience very efficient, professional, simple, and got a very good deal. What I found at TB seemed to be a dealer who really wanted to sell me a vehicle. Too many dealerships say they want to sell the customer a vehicle when they actually view the process as the customer is buying a vehicle from them. At TB the focus was on me. I initiated the purchase via the internet with several requests for pricing information from various DC Ford dealerships. Actually TB was not really a dealership I was considering as they are not the closest to my residence. Many of the dealerships I contacted did not provide the pricing information I requested. I ignored those as I have found they rarely represent a pleasant experience. Mr. John Church from TB contacted me via phone and gave the pricing information I had requested. That pricing was much better than other prices I received. Shortly thereafter, Brian Affricano called me to followup. Brian was very informative and quite engaging. Based on Brian's phone call, I agreed to visit TB to look at the Escape. Over the next several days, I looked and test drove multiple vehicles before finding the one I wanted. The vehicle was actually for my daughter who made the final decision. For most automobile purchases, there are usually three components which are price, trade, and financing. With many dealerships a good price can be offset with a low trade value or excessive financing if a buyer is not attentive. While TB provided very competitive pricing it was the value of the trade and the financing which made the buying experience enjoyable and cost effective. For the trade, I had checked the various sites including Edmunds, KBB, and NADA so I had a good idea of the trade value of my old vehicle. As expected, TB's initial offer was a bit low, as it always is. Rather than have me engage in an extended debate over the value, Brian asked me what I wanted. That was the value for the trade we agreed upon. For the financing, I elected to take the Ford rebate rather than Ford's special financing. I had checked with my local bank along with the various online lending sites to identify the financing available to me. Knowing dealerships have financing resources available which can sometimes result in a better rate, I gave TB the opportunity to provide financing. Nimia Ross, actually came up with an interest rate which was lower than what I had found on my own and which was not far from Ford's special financing rate which made the Ford rebate more attractive. The rate she offered was actually from my own bank. Finally there were a few minor issues such as the documentation fee which needed to be finalized. Dario Beltran compensated for the fee by lowering the price and increasing the trade value. Lisa Light spent thirty minutes or so with my college aged daughter explaining the various options in the vehicle. There are many dealerships from which a person may purchase a vehicle. Some seem to have embraced the concept of the internet buyer more than others. Those dealerships seem to recognize the internet buyer is informed and those dealers seem not to resort to the games generally associated with car sales. Ted Britt certainly seems to be a dealership which as thoroughly embraced internet selling. For that reason, as well as my purchase, an informed buyer stands a good chance to purchase a vehicle at TB at a very competitive price with a minimal amount of the stress typically associated with buying a vehicle. The bottom line is people interested in a Ford should give Ted Britt a chance to sell them that Ford. More

when i walked into the dealership, i could tell people knew what they were doing, always a good sign about the management. my salesperson, randy swan, knew the product he was trying to sell-every feature knew what they were doing, always a good sign about the management. my salesperson, randy swan, knew the product he was trying to sell-every feature of the car (focus se model) was explained to me before i took it for a test drive, really a nice surprise. when i bought my last (previous) vehicle, an suv from another dealership, i knew more about it than the salesperson who sold it to me. not only that, randys' professional attitude translated into not alot of wasted words or motion. i always like to see someone who is about their work but still friendly. i equate that with confidence in the business and the product. and lastly, i appreciated the way he was "for the customer" all the way along the process. i want to mention lisa light, who did a great job explaining service and product options in a friendly, professional manner. two great things she did that day- explain the sync system to me so that i actually understood it the first time to the point i could operate it with little problem and, she sync'd my stone-age model phone to the system so i could go hands-free. i'm not sure other dealerships sweat these details like ted britt does, but they've put people in place to handle them well, at least in my observation and i'm impressed. i have to say working with the finance dept, and the business manager, joey sivak, was unexpectedly easy. i was very pleased at that part of the transaction, because i always got the impression my satisfaction was the priority. the last thing i saw at the dealership wasn't related to my experience at all, but seemed to be indicative of the dealership talent as a whole. i sat in the customer lounge waiting for my car. one of the service managers, i think her name was vicky, came up several times to keep a customer who was there for service informed and up-to-the-minute about his repair, offering him a loaner vehicle if time was an issue, and she could not have been nicer. that was a first for me to see, usually waiting for your car to be serviced is like being in quarantine. so i have to say this dealership earned the right to call me a customer. More
Our experience at Ted Britt Chantilly was the best we have ever had buying a car. Not aggressive in any way but very laid back. They answered all questions and pointed out the features of the car. Other employees took us for a test drive and still no pressure. I did not feel that they were competing for a commission. This experience was exactly how you would want your dealers to treat customers. I feel confident that they will help me with any questions I might have in the future. My wife and I were truely impressed with Lila's sale approach. Unlike many dealerships where the sales staff make you feel very pressured, Lila was extremely accomodating to understand our needs and wo approach. Likewise, both Claudia and Joey clearly reviewed the additional services available to us and made sure we understood the full benefits but did not continue to pressure us after we declined. I would use the Ted Britt again (this was actually our second purchase) and will seek out Lila in the future. More
