I was very pleased with dealing with the team at Ted Britt. They were no hassle and no high pressure sales. They worked hard to find the right vehicle that worked best for me. I also liked the "Ted Brit Britt. They were no hassle and no high pressure sales. They worked hard to find the right vehicle that worked best for me. I also liked the "Ted Britt for Life" warranty program and was very interested to know that I was eligible with the purchase of a used vehicle. I will definitely return to Ted Britt. More
I had an excellent buying experience at Ted Britt in Chantilly. Previous experiences with car dealerships in the area had been less than stellar, so when I went to Ted Britt, I expected the worst. Inste Chantilly. Previous experiences with car dealerships in the area had been less than stellar, so when I went to Ted Britt, I expected the worst. Instead I got very friendly sales staff who did their best to accommodate me and my wife. Nobody resorted to any hard sales tactics or aloof "we don't care if you buy from us or not" behaviors. Matt Aglio was an excellent salesman and we really enjoyed our time with him. He was very up front about everything and not evasive at all when questioned as to models, pricing, etc. If he didn't know something he went and found out. After we were done, my wife and I both said that we'd buy another car from those guys, and that is high praise from us! I highly recommend these guys! More
Mike and Ricardo worked hard to find the exact vehicle that I wanted. They had to go to their overflow lot to find an Escape that matched all of my options requests. They also worked with the sales mana that I wanted. They had to go to their overflow lot to find an Escape that matched all of my options requests. They also worked with the sales manager to get a good deal on the vehicle. Thanks! More
Thought I received a great deal on my 2010 F-150 crew cab with 51,000 miles. I ended up left with a headache that wasn't resolved administratively until Thanksgiving. Mr. Britt did not personally interact w with 51,000 miles. I ended up left with a headache that wasn't resolved administratively until Thanksgiving. Mr. Britt did not personally interact with me, however this is an issue that needs to be dealt with by the organization's leadership. Issues: 1. Last piece of negotiation for the car was a difference in price of $250. The sales manager on duty that evening met me halfway by coming down $125. When I picked the car up the next morning, the same manager was there and said that they were going to fuel the truck up before I take it. So I waited 20 minutes and they brought the truck around. I hadn't driven it more than 3 miles when the gas gauge indicated that I was low on fuel. They hadn't put any gas in except to get me off the lot. I've never purchased a car before (new or used) where the tank wasn't filled up when I left. Had the manager said "times are tough, we don't fill tanks anymore" I would have accepted that. Instead you tell me it will be fueled and you end up putting a gallon or less in. 2. Transfer of Plates - My plates were transferred physically from my older vehicle to the purchased truck. I asked what else needed to be done, the person doing the paperwork at Ted Britt Ford, said "you're good." I ended up having my plates expire while waiting for my annual registration renewal to come in. I asked the DMV how this could have happened (I've purchased 3 vehicles in my life and have always transferred plates with no issues at the dealer), they said that the vehicle was not reported as sold to me, and that I wasn't legally allowed to drive it until I registered it. I now have temp tags and am waiting for my new plates. All of this should have been done at the dealer location or at least been advised that they couldn't do it and I would have gone to the DMV earlier. 3. Car loan - To complete the transaction, the night that I purchased the truck, I gave a check to Ted Britt Ford for the amount of the truck. I didn't think anything of it until I received a call from Ted Britt Ford a week later asking when I would be paying for the truck. I told the lady over the phone that I gave the dealership a check the night of my purchase. I checked with my bank and they indicated that the check had not been cashed and that it had expired in the time since it's issuance. Ted Britt Ford called me back and said that they had accidentally not deposited the check (or whatever a dealer does when they get a check from someone like me) and that I needed to get a new check and bring it in. Unbelievable that I had to go through all the steps to get an official check from my bank for a second time and bring it in. 4. Bait and switch - The first time I looked at a truck at Ted Britt Ford the truck they showed me was too expensive. I left my contact info and told them to call if they found anything. I returned from a business trip and had a message from the dealer saying that they had found the perfect car and that I should come in. I showed up and it was the same truck, same price. They got what they wanted, I started negotiating on the price of the truck and eventually bought it, but I did feel as though that was a pretty low move. Over all this was the worst experience I've had in buying a car. I called Ted Britt Ford and tried to explain all of this and ask for them to do something to change my perception of the dealership. Nothing heard back yet. If for whatever reason they make me feel better about this whole situation, I will write another review, but for now, I'm disappointed. More

Excellent. This is a great dealership to work with. The people there are friendly and allowed me to take my time deciding whether or not to by a vehicle. I never felt rushed and enjoyed my experience. people there are friendly and allowed me to take my time deciding whether or not to by a vehicle. I never felt rushed and enjoyed my experience. More
They say if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, but I keep receiving emails to do this so I am. Mike, my salesman, was excellent and everything you could want in a salesman. I say anything at all, but I keep receiving emails to do this so I am. Mike, my salesman, was excellent and everything you could want in a salesman. I hope this rating doesn't affect him. He was perfect. I just have to say that the overall experience of buying a car at this dealership was terrible. I was personally insulted by the finance person, Jimmy, in front of my daughter. I have slightly below average credit, and I was trying to get the best deal I could, and this person treated me as if I was some kind of loser. And he had the nerve to do it in the sales room in front of my daughter. Only after I threatened to walk out, did he apologize. If you like old school haggling and being browbeaten by a sales manager, this is the place for you to go. He was the typical slick talking sales manager that you see in movies -- where everything he has done is the best he can possibly do. You know he can do better, and he eventually does. It just takes a ton of haggling to get it done. So, after everything and all of the haggling, I got the car, but the next day I was able to find better financing through a different bank. It's a shame that I have to give this dealer a bad rating when the salesman was so excellent. But if you want to have a difficult time buying a car or you like difficult negotiations, this is the dealership for you. More
