Let me preface this buy saying I have bought five new cars this year, and about 20 new vehicles in my lifetime, and I used to work at a car dealership. Never have I been treated as rudely, or had as many issues, with a dealership as I did at Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly. First, I found the truck I wanted and came in to talk to them, and was quoted one number. I took the truck on the test drive, liked it, and wanted to discuss purchase with them. They clearly didnt want to deal with it (it was late at night) and they instead encouraged me to take the truck for an overnight test drive, which I did. I came back in the next day to buy the truck, but we could not agree on numbers, and overnight, the price of the truck had jumped $5000 from the price quoted me the day before. They completely low-balled my trade-in (I sold it myself for $6,500 more then they offered me in one day), and the manager would not come out of the office to speak with me. The sales guy was clearly frustrated, as well. I walked out of the dealership. I found this whole experience less than ethical, as I am sure most people would, and called the dealership owner, Gardner Britt, to let him know how his dealer was being run when he was out of the office. After some phone-tag, I had a pleasant conversation with him, and he promised to look into and and get back to me. He never called back, and every time I called, no one seemed to know where he was or when he would be back. I guess business is good enough that a $50,000+ truck purchase doesnt mean much to them... I came back a third time (my fault for being an idiot - I should have walked - no run - away, but I really liked the truck). The third time, I had a different sales guy - a new guy who really was lost the entire time, and rather than waste hours watching this poor guy run back and forth between the sales office and the little table where I was seated in the showroom, I finally requested that the sales manager come speak with me directly. Althought the price of the truck continued to fluxuate every time we spoke - and I firmly believe there is an issue here with false adverstising and poor ethics - we finally agreed to numbers and I signed for the truck. Then they half-assed delivered it - it didnt even have a Sync SD chip in it for the navigation to function - I had to come back into the dealer to get one, which they handed me in a package, and never offered to come out and help set it up. I had to ask them to give me an owners manual and the second ignition key, I asked for the window sticker and they couldnt find it, I had to ask them to get the plates off my trade in and to put the new plates on the truck, and no one from customer service came to talk to me about anything - warranties, follow up on a "we-owe" list, nothing. Because it was late at night, I had to come back the next day to finish doing the paperwork. The finance guy apparently hadnt been told I would be coming in, and he was a complete xxxxxxx the entire time my wife and I were there signing papers. He didnt explain anything - just threw paper after paper in front of us and said, "sign here," never offered us GAP, got a huge attitude with me when I was discussing warranties with him because other Ford dealers were selling them cheaper, he got in an argument with the sales manager because he was so annoyed he had to stay a few minutes late to finish up my paperwork, etc., etc., etc. Then the fun really started. I traded in a VW Jetta TDI on my new Ford truck. VW was still processing some of the paperwork, which apparently confused the xxxx out of Ford. They called me every day for a week, and I had to come back into the dealership multiple times and reiterated to them that VW was still processing the refund of my extended service plan and that the payoff amount was reflected incorrectly. Yet, even after explaining this multiple times to the new car sales manager, the finance manager, and two finance accountants, they still called me over and over and over to let me know that the payoff amount quoted by VW was different than what I told them (they seemed to continually forget about that whole ESP refund processing or just didnt understand it...no matter how many times I told them - I even brought in a copy of the refund check to show them from the VW dealership where I had purchased the Jetta.) Eventually, on about my fifth visit to the dealership, I ended up speaking with the finance manager, who was ultimately quite friendly and competent. He even applogized for all the ridiculousness and hassle I had been put through, which I very much apprecaited. I felt he was honest and forthright, and I actually enjoyed talking with him. His name is Matt Aglio - if you decide to put yourself through this same xxxx, do yourself a favor and ask for him upfront. Finally, after almost two weeks of this garbage, everything seemed more or less straightened out. Except for a few more voice mails from the new car sales manager and the finance guy, which I emailed and called back but they never returned any of my calls. The last order of business was to finally get set up with the customer service rep who was supposed to follow up with me (a week ago) to ensure I got everything on the "we-owe" list squared away. They are yet to call, and are also apparently incapable of returning messages. Like I said, worst car buying experience EVER. Biggest headache, and most hassle, I have ever experienced while buying a new car... It was actaully easier to buy my house. The truck I ended up with was a dealer demo and was a decent deal, otherwise, I absolutely would have walked out of that dealership and never returned, and I would never in good faith recommend them to anyone else. We went to the dealership just to see if we would even qualify for a loan. At the end of the night, we drove the fusion off the lot without any hassle whatsoever. We then asked our sales guy Nate to keep his eyes open for a van. Within 15 minutes, he texted me with a pic and "how about this one?". My wife and I went over and test drove it and ended up driving it off the lot. Finance was AMAZING to work with. They really have their stuff together. A very big THANK YOU to everyone at Ted Britt Ford for making this our best car buying experience ever. Jeff & Crystal More

We love the car and the service through Ted Britt has been extraordinary. Thomas Ramey has been our service representative and has continuously gone over and above what was expected in the servicing of our car. The whole team makes every effort to make certain every detail is attended to and I have never been disappointed. Thank you all for a job well done. We'll see how the service is now that we have gone over our 50k warranty but I have no reason to doubt that it will still be great. More

FIVE STAR Dealership From Top To Bottom Walking through the doors I was greeted with smiles and customer service the whole time. My sales associate was Fred Stoner. Fred was outstanding the Walking through the doors I was greeted with smiles and customer service the whole time. My sales associate was Fred Stoner. Fred was outstanding the whole time making sure all my questions were answered and giving me additional helpful information an my vehicle. Not to mention he LOVES the Nationals. Connie Caballero assisted me in making sure i purchased the package of ResistAll that best suited my family and driving needs. Connie is a wonderful person to do business with. That better be the easiest part of any purchase when buying a car or you need to leave that dealership immediately. Lastly the finance part. Always a little scary for me because here is where bad dealerships can get over on you. Daniela Vargas was my finance person. She was absolutely awesome. I purchased the Premium Maintenance package for my new F150 Lariat. I almost didn't but when she was going through my past purchase from Ted Britt she noticed I had the maintenance package on my last truck. Daniela was able to get me money back from my first maintenance package on my previous truck. That sealed the deal. I've purchased three F150's from Ted Britt Ford Chantilly. No better place in the country to purchase a vehicle from. Thank you Ted Britt Ford for doing what yo do. P.S. The truck is perfect and my girls love it. More

We did that while Naz explained the salient points of the two cars like weight, suspension, handling, fuel economy, etc. Little did we know how well he LISTENED. When we finally sat down to talk it wasn't 15 minutes later he leaves while saying "I think have exactly the car you are looking for." Then he pulls a Fusion SE Hybrid up to the front entrance in exactly our colors minus MyTouch, which we didn't want. He was right. It was perfect. He had to be listening closely to nail it that well. He could have sold us the MKZ, but by listening closely he figured out it wasn't the car for us. Then negotiations began and he explained to us how he could get us the best price, which he clearly did...even on our Prius, which we had planned on selling ourselves! Connie did the same for the protection package; best possible price and it was obvious! On to Matt in finance and all that other stuff they usually try to coerce you to buy. We ended up with the protection and service plan WE wanted and at a VERY fair price. Everyone was very easy to work with and we actually enjoyed the whole process (definitely a first). We couldn't believe we'd bought that Fusion, but we drove away quite happy, and we really love the car. It had been since 1986 that we bought from Ted Britt, a new Ford Tempo. We've bought from and serviced with other Ford dealers since then, but they never treated us the way this dealership does. We're with the right people now. More
Excellent Sales Service, Good Price, Very Nice Vehicle! I ha Leonia Durant is the sales associate to visit, I have bought several vehicles from her; she is fun, courteous, knowledgeable, and very friendly. I had an excellent time interacting with Connie Caballero, who took me through all after-sales activities, and Matthew in finance was very efficient and helpful. Overall an excellent experience, I wish it could have taken less time, but that is not the fault of the sales department for sure. I am enjoying our new Lincoln Navigator L! More
Good used car, good price Searched for a late model high mileage Honda Fit, found what I was looking for at Ted B's via the Consumer Reports website. The car was immaculately Searched for a late model high mileage Honda Fit, found what I was looking for at Ted B's via the Consumer Reports website. The car was immaculately detailed. Prakash was very knowledgeable, rode along for a low pressure test drive. Following the test drive, Prakash asked for the key to my car to evaluate it for possible trade in. Per standard used car salesman practice, they tried to start negotiations without returning my key. I have to say Prakash and manager David Poole responded immediately and gracefully when I demanded my key back before agreeing to any discussions. Just the right amount for followup after this initial visit. Smooth completion of paperwork during second visit. Overall, got a very thoroughly inspected vehicle for probably less than I could have got from a private party. Quite satisfied. More
Advertised price was deceiving. They vehicle was advertised at a particular price on the website. I emailed and was informed that it had been lowered even more due to Black Friday. They vehicle was advertised at a particular price on the website. I emailed and was informed that it had been lowered even more due to Black Friday. When I got to the dealership, they stated the price was based on curtain rebates and I was not eligible for all of the rebates. When I showed the email sent to me stating the price was even lower because of Black Friday, they stated they couldn't go any lower on the price. I think it was very deceptive. Since I was in a situation where I needed a car badly, I negotiated the best I could and ended up buying the car. But not for what the advertised price stated. I do have to say the finance guy I worked with was exceptional. He went out of his way to ensure I recieved a loan I was happy with. The salesman I worked with was fine as well. I blame the deceptive practices on the internet department and management. You should not have to trick people into coming in to you dealership by posting prices on line that you have no intention of selling the vehicles for. More
