Hello, I am very sympathetic about your situation. When older cars with high mileage are purchased from us, we take a huge risk that it will last for a long time, and you will be happy with it. Unfortunately, we do not know if a car with over 100,000 miles on it will last 1 week, 1 year, or 10 years. Likewise, when you purchase an old car with over 100,000 miles on it, there is a high risk. At the time of purchase, we showed you a copy of the Carfax. According to Carfax, it was serviced regularly at Gillman Subaru as well as other places. At the time of purchase, we also offered you the opportunity to purchase a service contract on the car, but you declined. If you would have purchased a service contract, this would have been covered. However, we are not a dealer to turn our backs on customers after they purchased a car from us. I offered to buy the car back from you for 65% of the purchase price to try to help out even though it needs an engine replaced. I still would like to help you because all of our customers are valuable to us. However, I cannot give 100% refund on a car after 6 months and it was running properly at the time of purchase. This is an older car with 100,000+ miles on it through no fault of yours or ours. The car has failed and I am willing to work with any of our customers when something goes wrong.
