The experience at the dealership was very easy. All their staff that we came in contact with were extremely nice. All their staff that we came in contact with were extremely nice. More
My initial experience of ordering a new Honda from Team Gillman Honda was positive; they had a Civic on the lot I was able to test drive, and placing the order was fairly painless. The week the car was to be delivered to the dealership, I received a disconcerting letter from the Finance Department, saying that my request for financing was turned down. Luckily this turned out to be a mistake but it did tarnish my car buying experience. More
The dealership is highly untrustworthy and made car purchase a huge nightmare for us. They deceived us by selling a supposedly Honda Certified car which was no way near it. After making the purchase on purchase a huge nightmare for us. They deceived us by selling a supposedly Honda Certified car which was no way near it. After making the purchase on 3/24/2023 and completing the paper work for financing etc. of the vehicle, the sales person Rudy mentioned that the vehicle would be ready the next day as they wanted to make sure it's vacuumed and cleaned. We were asked to come around 4 PM. We confirmed our appointment next afternoon and the sales person confirmed the time as we were driving 50 some miles to pick it up. We arrived at their location on-time, only to be informed by the service manager that the shocks were leaking and some trunk parts were missing. The service manager informed us that the car would be ready by Monday, March 27th at the latest. This was the first flag as how could they put a faulty car for sale as a certified Honda and collect premium from their buyers. Since, we had already completed the paperwork, placing our trust in them that it was indeed a certified Honda, we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. We left with the hope that the car would be ready by Monday, as it was intended to be a birthday and first car gift for our teenage son. Later that evening, Mr. Feras, the sales manager, called to inform us that it would take 2 weeks to 2 months for the shocks to arrive as OEM parts were scarce. Be cognizant that Mr. Feras personally guaranteed the condition of the car as a certified used Honda and had no issues with it during the purchase. That's why, this was significantly frustrating news. We reached out to other Honda dealerships and checked online, discovering that we could have received the OEM shocks delivered to our home or the dealership within 2-3 days. Mr. Feras had misinformed about the car being certified as it shouldn't be having leaky shocks and missing parts and be ready for sale at the same time. He also misled us on the possibility of not being able to have our just purchased vehicle for up to 2 months. This was an awful feeling when you still had to make payments and not have even driven the car at all. As a result, we contacted Mr. Feras to cancel the sale and retrieve our down payment come Monday while also cancelling the contract. Surprisingly, we noticed that the car was back on sale on their website the same evening 3/25, listed as a certified Honda. Any individual who purchases from them may want to think twice, since we don't know how they resolved the issues with the rear leaking shocks and missing parts within just a few hours on a Saturday evening when they had just informed us to wait for up to 2 weeks to 2 months. We strongly advise caution when dealing with this dealership. Our experience with them was a complete nightmare and a waste of time and effort. The car make was: 2013 4 -door Honda Civic Silver. I bought a jeep wrangler from the used car section and the process was easy from start to finish. Minimal wait, kind staff, and overall a great experience for a car purchase.
