It was a very pleasant experience dealing with Taylor Ford. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a positive and friendly dealership. They had the best price on a lease. I purchased a F150 Lariat in 2018. Love the Truck, Sales did a good job putting me in my 7th Ford vehicle. I have 24 years of loyalty to the Brand. This was my first purchase from Taylor Ford, most regretta did a good job putting me in my 7th Ford vehicle. I have 24 years of loyalty to the Brand. This was my first purchase from Taylor Ford, most regrettably it will be the last after the following ongoing experience. My Truck required service on 11/2/20, so I called the Service Department at Taylor Ford. They advised they were backlogged and did not have access to any loaner vehicles. They basically told their customer to shop for another dealer to do service work. I was annoyed, had a truck in my driveway that costs $500 a month plus inurance that did not move. I called Ford customer care for assistance; advised of the issue and requested they find a dealership that could tow and service my truck. Coincidentally or not, I received a follow up call the next day from Taylor Ford about my lease, which was going to expire May of 2021. I explained Ford Customer Care was working on setting up service because they turned me away at Taylor. This led the dealership to take accountability. They towed my vehicle on 11/6/20 and placed me in a loaner truck; furthermore, advised they would not be able to diagnosis the Transmission issue for 3 weeks. They had a tech out on a hunting trip and had some folks ahead of me. I advised they could fix the warranty and recalls in the interim and they did. I was satisfied for the time being. After Thanksgiving, I was advised there were still 7 cars in front of mine and there still was no diagnosis. I was only allotted 550 miles on the loaner truck, so I was forced to turn it in and to my disappointment was put in an Escape with a new 550 miles. At this time I called Ford customer care, Ford credit, explained my unhappiness. I pay for a truck, I want to drive a truck. I use my truck to work on my boat, rentals, home improvements, pick up fire wood etc.! My next step in early December was to engage My Sales Rep Lou. I explained the service backlog and that I was out of my truck for 5 weeks. I had 5 remaining monthly payments until the lease expiration and would like to Evaluate a new lease. Lou advised I would need to pay the remaining 5 lease payments or Roll them into the new Lease. The quote had me paying more for a new XLT than the Lariat I owned and planned to red carpet lease purchase. Again disappointed, why should I have to pay because they cannot service a vehicle in a timely manner. I asked Lou to get with the Brian the Sales Manager and see if they could early expire the lease. He advised I would need to call Ford Credit. I did, 3x they directed me to Ford customer care; I have called them 4x have three cases and they both direct me back back to the same dysfunctional dealership. I made a second call to Sales in late December, no change. To date 1/22/21, I have swapped loaner cars 5x due to mileage and preference constraints. On 1/15/21 the service manager Todd Pluff advised the dealership tech would have the vehicle complete the next week. On 1/20/21 I was the updated they would need an additional 4-6 weeks for the repair because a part was back ordered. I understand the difficult times with Covid; however, the crux is had they not taken 10 weeks to diagnose and met the original 3, they would have already had the part and service complete. I went to remove some personal effects in early January, my truck was in a back lot, hood unlatched, wheels cocked all the way while parked with battery disconnected. Sad, most people know parking like this ruins tie-rods and places undo stress on the wheel assembly. So where are we: I’m driving an Escape, They share no burden of lease buyout. I have paid insurance and a truck pmt for 3 months for a vehicle I cannot use. I have called Ford Credit, Ford customer care, Multiple times with no escalation. No comparable loaner because they sold them all. I bought and paid for a truck because I use it! I highly recommend going to another dealership, the greed and profit model drive the service and operations at Taylor. They do not follow up or meet customers on common ground! More
